This pluggin display five random games on the Forum Home Page.

This is one addon for v3arcade Updated to v.1.0.5

If do you like more the version 1.0.3 don´t install this. The version 1.0.3 is more simple (see pictures attached 1 to 4)

Products to import: (1) - product-v3a5random_1_0_3.xml
Templates to edit: (1) - FORUMHOME
Templates Added: (2) - arcade_5randomgame / arcade_5randomgame_alt
Phrases Added: (4) in 1.0.3 (14) in the 1.0.5
Files to Upload: (16) gif images --> only in the version 1.0.5

Tested in vbulletin V.3.5.3 & V3arcade 1.0.2

I´m asking this because it using a different border then from examplem, the Gallery one that I have one my site, and it messing up the titles of the games a little...

Is there a way to have the random thumbnails use the larger thumbnail images and not the smaller ones? I feel like the small ones are just TOO small and you can't tell what the game is. I feel like the height of the row is about an inch, but yet the images are so tiny. Also the image should be part of the hyperlink, not just the text in my opinion.

A slight variation I made which I think is a tad cleaner. This is a replacement for the article_randomgame5_alt template.

Use alt1 and alt2 as your two colours in the settings in the AdminCP.

Place the $showrandomgame just below the <!-- end what's going on box --> line in FORUMHOME.

I noticed since upgrading from the old version that sometimes now my skin is broken because either the game name is too long or the usernames, I'm not sure which is causing the problem. Any way to fix this?

It looks like if I edit the arcade title names to something shorter, it still breaks sometimes due to longer usernames. For instance I have a user who's name is similar to this: OUTDOORGROWER so even though his name may only be listed once in the random 5 hack, it is long enough to break the skin. If we could make the limit like 10 characters maybe?

Hi, I keep seeing the skin broken every other refresh it seems, which means my users are too. I hate my users seeing the skin broken, so if there is no way to limit username length, can I just install the old arcade plugin to return it the way it was before? I don't want a broken skin any longer hehe.

Note: the variable $xx, change the limit of characters ($xx = 10) you can change the value for adapting the aspect in your template.

I think you are one of the best hack creaters here because you update your product and you give the best support ever!! :) Maybe I can have you work on some custom hacks in the future. I just paid someone $800 to do some hacks for me and the guy did everything wrong and keeps getting frustrated that I ask it to be done different. For instance he made it so that when someone pays with paypal they get changed to gold status and get certain features like they can enlarge photos, etc. However if I move someone to gold usergroup it doesn't happen automatically. He did a lot of backgound coding and keeps asking where his bonus is that I said I would send if he did a great job. It's been about 2 months since he started and it's still not complete. Grr :) Oh well, thank you very much. If you need any favors from an english speaker :) hehe, just ask!!

My idea was to do 5 random games in the arcade gameplay area (which i already did with putting the plugin in global_start) but would like the v1.05 on forum home instead of v1.03.

Can this be cloned to run alongside each other ?

As well as this fact the modification, you should elect a version or another, Although would be able to do it, if changed the name of the templates and the calls to the same of the pluggin in forumhome (duplicating the call).. but can leave you badly. I recommend you that choose one or another.. greetings

Great mod but I have a problem with it and maybe somebody can help.
I installed the mod and the all random games in bar showed up like last ywo in my first attached picture (no name of the game, no image, nothing) When I click on it I got "no permission bla bla bla.." (picture 2 attached). I went in my forum arcade directory and I played 3 games and now that three games are in forum home, I can play them if I click on them,but only three. weird.. any help?

Go to AdminCP/UserGroup Manager once oped look at bottom see "Arcade Permissions" edit the settings from there.
