Ribbon Problem....

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with the ribbons. I have upgraded to vbBux/vbPlaza 1.5.0.1 and the upgrade seemed to have gone well with no errors and etc. But today I found a problem with the ribbons. When I went to buy one for myself to try it out I noticed that it didn't deduct the 400.00 points from my points. I have it set at 400.00 point per ribbon. So, if my members make enough points to afford a ribbon they can buy them all day long for free since it wont deduct the points from their account. Why is this happening? What can I do to fix this?

I dont seem to have this issue in v1.5.1 beta, so it should not be a problem anymore once the new version is out.

I have a problem with ribbon too. It said that I cannot buy ribbon for myself, and I didn't see the username field at the ribbon purchase page

Did you enable the options for ribbons? Manage Options -> Awareness Ribbons -> at the bottom.

yes, the option is enable. I'd read that in this version, you can choose to buy ribbon for yourself or give it to someone else. But I do not see that option

The option is inside the Manage Options at the very bottom.. It will say something like...

Option Settings (Advanced Users Only!)

There should be 3 options listed below...

vbplaza_userbuyselfribbons
vbplaza_giveribbonssendpm
vbplaza_userbuyothersribbons

Those are the settings u r looking for.

seems like I do not have that option, what should I do now? I'd upgrade from version 1.2.6

When I purchase ribbon, the point is deducted but there are a message "You are not allowed to buy yourself a Badge!"

Same thing happen to my forum members

Oh, you have the old ebux / estore, you should upgrade to vbPlaza 1.5.0.1, then you will get those options.

I'd already upgrade to vbplaza 1.5.0.1 from ebux/estore 1.2.6, all items working well beside the ribbon. Should I reinstall it? Will I lost all the database if I'm doing that?

Dont unininstall it, try to run this query...

Change TABLE_PREFIX to your table prefix or remove it if u dont have one, then check Manage Options -> Awareness Ribbons to see if they are there?

If they are there, run vbPlaza Maintenance -> Rebuild Datastore and it should be fixed.

Thanks for your reply! I was just wondering when the newer version might be out so I can have this problem fixed? Just curious.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about where the points aren't deducted for buying a ribbon:

In this screen shot I'm about to buy the darkblue ribbon for 400 points and my account shows "Current HT$ Total: 400.00"

In this screen shot I just bought the ribbon and it does show the 400 points deducted where it says "Current HT$ Total: 0"

But in the postbit it still shows me as having the 400 points that I just spent on the ribbon. How do I fix this?
