is correct, if you are on a differnet server it might by client1.xxxx...
check by going to SigmaChat CP and clicking chatlink code
you will see the first option, make shure it maches up with the code in the template

you have to replace xxxxx with your roomid, when you have your sigmachat account go to the chatroom code page and at the bottom it will tell you your chatroom url, you have to hakt the last set of #s and put them in place of xxxxx

Yes it is on a page, not a popup, but the page in not on the foumhome,
here look at this screenshot.
The only problem is there are no usergroup perms, but in the next realses then there will be permissions

who's chatting is on the quick links pull down menu... if you have the chat window display in the forums and click on the quick links... the chat window overlaps it.. though I would let you know..excellent job tho :D

admincp>Plugin System>Manage Products>Add/Import Product

Okay well I turned on the chat room in the Vbulletin options, after installing the update but I am STILL getting a message saying that the room is closed. Why is this? Can someone help?

i am missing the obvious i am sure, installed the XML file and get the options in control panel, set up a chat room at sigmachat and got the settings and imported them into the control panel

but where does the 'forums' dir need to be installed, have put in as a dir in my vb install dir and as a file, but i get no access to a chat room on my forum

what am i doing wrong

thats what i was trying to do and after a bit of playing managed it

set up the hack as the instructions and then you need to modify the navbar template

Got it installed, but I'm getting java errors. I get a message Loading Java Applet Failed in the browser status window. I'm using the latest version of firefox. I just updated the java runtime environment. It gives me a window with a bunch of text when I try to get the properties of the java window.

I noticed that in the version for vB 3.6, there is an additional .xml file that goes in /includes/xml

That isn't present in the version of this for vB 3.5

Is it a missing file? I'm just trying to figure out why I'm getting a java issue. I tried it in IE as well and same issues.

I uploaded the "forums" folder in "public_html" and loaded the product.

It shows under options so I edited and put in what it said on the sigma page...

I'm assuming that the server ID is 0
I hit YES on all the other options

It is now on my front page in the nav bar but does not load. I just get the red X

Is there something I missed?

put the file 'chat.php' from within 'forums' in your board dir, just the file not the folder

I ftp'd the file only into the public_html folder but still nothing.
I also tried the "includes" folder. I"m pretty sure I am doing something really dumb cause it should work. I see it in options and on the forum home page.
I'm at a loss!

Oh my gosh it works! But I had to go in and edit the product and put in the server number and take out the extra sigmachatsn

but it works fine now! Wouldn't say it was easy though.

Okay.. I figured it out. Boy, I feel dumb.

Where it was looking for the chatroom server, I thought it wanted the whole url, not just the number after the word client. I just put that number in, and the chat works as expected.

I unistalled this product to do the verison that has Remote Authentication.

It didn't work so I am trying to do this version. The problem is everytime I go to load the product I get an error but then the page flashes so quick I can not write down the error! So I uninstalled and got another error but again it flashes so quick on the screen I can't get it written down!
How can I find out why this product is getting an error and not working?

I shouldn't have messed with it after I got it to work the first time but I saw that the site integration through sigma had an option for users to see who was chatting and who was in the room.

For some reason, this code in the product file didn't get executed upon upload. Luckily, I have access to my sql server and just ran the sql statement manually. I was then able to modify the chat settings for each user group.

I went back to the 4.0 version and it works fine. I would like to be able to have a "who's chatting" on the forum home. Can anyone help me ?

A who is chatting on the forum home page would be nice. Either right below the currently online people, or another section.
