Welcome Emoticons

A few welcome to emoticons. The previews have "welcome to vb.org" but the images provided in the attachment have the red text removed so you can insert your forum/site title. The text used (for people wanting to keep the text consistent) is Tahoma set to 9pt with the anti-aliasing set to sharp. The colour of the text (which was removed) is #d10000. Anyone who cannot make the modifications can ask in this thread and I'll make the modification by applying the text for you.

Note!! If you require a modification please also state which emoticon variants you want modified whether it be the Round, Square, Triangle,Pill and Pirate variants.

If you require a background colour modification (to compliment the background to which the emoticons are being applied onto). Please provide a link to your forum so I can get the colour of the background and implement the colour matte to give the emoticons a seamless smooth look on your forum and/or site.

Not if you hold the PSd and can slightly manipulate the paths of the speech bubble. Bare in mind the image is slightly wider because of the amount of text you required in the speech bubble.

I did originally design these specifically to compliment "Introduction forums" although I suppose they could be used in other areas.

300 emoticons? I'm close to nearly 8000.

so now - stupid question probably- but once we have these done; where do we put them to implement each time a new user registers to the site and is logged in?

I would suggest that you upload them to your server, and apply them in the same way as other emoticons, except create a new category titled "Welcome Emoticons" in the smiley manager and apply them from there. That way, they are seperate from the rest of the emoticons, and you can then use them when needed.

I always used them to greet members that have introduced themselves, Best used in some king of introduction area.

Hopefully that helped a little.

If you could specify which welcome emoticons you want that would be great. I cannot locate the colour bg to which these emoticons are going to be applied onto due to the lack of permissions and having to register. If you could post the Hex value and specify which emoticons you want I can modify them for you. :)

Ever since the new modifications layout at vb.org (which meant they made doing requests harder) I had them deleted from here so won't be taking on requests for those specific emoticons due to the poularity and the amount of extra work which was forced upon me. however, I will do the modificatiopns at my own forum for that specific set simply post in the appropriate area. :)

In the meantime I still done the emoticons from this thread.

Sure I could release the psd, but I won't, the whole point of the last statement is I won't release psds after I put the work in so some other person can steal, sell or abuse the work in anyway. How can I add unlock the icon in Adobe to fill in the missing part of the welcome?

I'm assuming your using Photoshop. select the layer in the layers palette then goto the top menu and click Image >> Mode. You'll notice that there's a tick beside Indexed colour, change this to RGB and you'll be able to edit/add anything. that said, you could have still created a new layer (which it automatically does anyway) and add the text on top and then save the image to the desired format. :)

Not sure I understand. Your wanting the standalone circular emoticons (without the sign)? If so, I cannot submit the set because I designed them for another bulletin board software which is now copyright to the owner to the respected software. :)
