The modification forums for vBulletin 3.6 have been opened. :) See the modification page (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/modifications.php) for the new forums.

If you have not already you should check out vBulletin 3.6 beta 1 (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=117918), which includes all the changes we've been hearing about at vBulletin.com all week. :)

Just a note: The 3.5 modification forums will be changed soon to reflect the new layout used in the 3.6 forums. Basically the forums for "Code hacks", "Extentions", and "plug-ins" will all be merged into one forum called "Add-ons".

My question is... is it really neccesary for all the 3.5 hacks to be re-released on the 3.6 forum? Isnt the code basically the same or has there been some changes I dont know about that break those plugins and extensions?

Unless there are any changes to the modification, then there is no need to re-release it.

Hi,

So once I have confirmed that my current hacks work in 3.6 (without any changes needed), should I request they are moved to the 3.6 forums? or leave them in the 3.5 forums and just change the dropdown to 3.6? Or re-release them into the 3.6 forums essentially doubling my number of hacks? Or.... ?

Thanks,
Alan.

So why am I seeing hacks that have already been released for 3.5 being re-released for 3.6?
