The above code, occurs twice in the FORUMDISPLAY template. So I tried adding the code (shown below) after the first occurrence only, after the second occurrence only, and after each occurrence. All attempts FAILED though.:surprised:
Then place after:
Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.

I'm using Miko's ARIA Skins (vbstyles.com), but would that not allow this feature to be implemented? :disappointed: Here's what the ARIA Skin FORUMDISPLAY code looks like before I edit it as denoted above:
Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.

Btw, my drop down search box does look different from the one pictured above as an example, with more options below the input line.(see attached pic)

it doesn;t look like you placed the code in the right spot.

I'm using the Miko's Satellite skin which also has the code occuring twice and more options in the search dropdown. I placed the new code after the first occurence and it worked fine. I didn't place it after the second one because that one is for non-popup browsers.
excellent! i'm usually always searching for 'titles only'.. this is a big help. thanks!

for those of you that wish to have a "radio" style input... and note that i also have mine locked with checked by default. if you don't want yours checked by default just remove checked="checked".
Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.

I had tried the same by duplicating the option on the advanced search.
However, vB would not load the phrase "Search full text", only "Search titles only" and i could not hardcode it because theforum is multi lingual.
This solves my problem (no need for "Search full text") and is a more elegant way of doing it.
Thanks for sharing.
Clicked on install.

If you use the radio style, you can't uncheck it once it's checked. You have to have to radio buttons then. One to use just threads and one posts and threads.

Great mod!
I have lost count of the number of times I wished this was an option in the drop down menu!
I also appreciate adding it to the forumdisplay search.
I just have one question in that regard tough.
I want the check box to show up below the search field.
I've figured out how to do it on the nav bar, but I can't (for whatever reason) figure out where to put it in the code to show up in the forumdisplay search.
Any insight would be appreciated!
Great template mod! One of my favorites.
Updated for vb3.6.6/7. Also, I added template edit for forumdisplay.
This mod is very usefull for my users.
Thanks!!

The changes that you made, do they only work for 3.6.6 or will they work on 3.6.5 if I apply them before the update?

I think it should work for it also.

Abe1 - would you mind describing exactly what changes you made?
The old mod works fine on our upgraded board.
I'm wondering what you changed and why...:)

The moved the <form> location. This also adds it to the forum display page.

Works great.
For those who has the statement appearing twice in forum display, just paste the code after the first, not the second.
