If just finished coding a linklist for my forum and will release it in the next few days. Here are some features for now: showing links with the following information: Name, URL, Email, Banner, Banner ALT Text, description, forumlink, Hitcounter (outgoing), category main page shows all links, but you can: a:sort by category and b:search for a site registrated user can add new links, but admin or mod must confirm the links in the CP Links can be ordered over pages. Limit for links per page can be set outgoing links will be redirect over a redirect page with information that you're leaving the forum...and outgoing counter will be set plus 1 CP: you can easy add new site on your own or edit a site CP:can add or edit categories CP:confirm and edit new sites CP:upload banners to let them load faster
Todo before and/or after release: add subcategories add mainpage which only shows categories and subcategories, search and add email to admin or mod if a user adds a site logging user who adds the site (for feedback or other questins) maybe create a new post in a spez. thread when a user adds a new link and post all the infos in this thread show category in navbar and a lot more....

Awesome man, may I ask what script, if any are you using? Also a nice feature would be ratings, so the user's could rate a link!

Very Cool, I'd really like to include something like this in vbPortal.

I've been working on an order option for the categories, and its nearly done. Also I like to add the email and post in a spez. thread option as well.

Then I write a install for alle new templates. Think that it could be there for download on the weekend!

It is but I don't have the time to write a install script and translate ist to english. But on sunday evening (CET) it will be there!

31 Mar 2001, 19:32
I suspect this wouldn't be easy to do, but it would be great if you could add the options to have new links approved by the Admin prior to them showing up.

I once had an Add-a-Link script on my page that was occasionally deluged with links to porn sites. It got to be such a pain that I disabled it altogether.
