I would like it fully compatible with vB 3.6.5 - I think some templates are out of date?
And maybe some icons (the ones by the posts) updated - I think some are the default vB one?

The template warning in my acp drove me crazy, but you can get rid of the notices without reverting. Just go open the templates it's telling you are out of date and save them without making changes :)

I'm new to vbulletin and to intalling templates. I downloaded your zip file. In your instructions you say to:

Include file .xml for vB3.6, vB3.6.1, vB3.6.2,vB3.6.3 and vB3.6.4
Include .psd files
Style extensible

It was apparent how to upload vB3.6.4, but I don't see how to include .psd files and style extensible.

Now that the style is uploaded, it appears that all images are missing. For instance, in the default style you can select User CP, FAQ, Member List, Calendar, etc., and can see what each selection is. In the new template, you can still make the selection, but none of the words are viewable.

Any suggestions?

Hi. I have a question about how to make new Nav buttons. I have found the psd files and fonts but the buttons don’t look quite the same. The text on the pre-made buttons appears slightly darker then when I make them. When I bold the text it makes it to dark. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I uploaded an image as an example. "gallery" is the one I made. "members" is the one from the package.

Upload all font (file attach chrestnut) in "C:\WINDOWS\Fonts" and change the font in photoshop for example :)

one quick question though.
When I use attachment system and have it display multiple images,
the images display in horizontal not vertical. Is there way to fix this?

This results in destroying the tables..

Hi,

Just installed vB 3.6.6 and this wonderful skin but vBulletin saying "here are currently 31 customized template(s) that need to be updated or reverted. Some sections of vBulletin may not function if you do not do this!". Is this happening for Chestnut skin?

Please check the attached image too ...

Seems to be working okay under vB 3.6.6 without having done any template reversions. I'll post if any of our members report any bugs.

when I installed it, the lay out is all tweaked. Everything (like the buttons, posts in thread and new topics) all sit to the left and the right side of the forum is blank. also the category bars are gone. Its all white and the forum looks all mixed together.

just be sure the navbar template is edited correctly... you'll most likely have to do it yourself.

Then the rollover, I already have the buttons made and the ajax stuff in place. But the closest I've managed to get to adding a 2nd dropdown menu is just copying the quick links code :(

ahh, i was thinking you might be using the default navbar. if you do want that navbar back, just revert your navbar template. if you want to create the new buttons along the top like in this style, you're gonna have to edit them for each link you want.

I think I'm getting somewhere... Even if I'm just making a big mess.
The attached image is what I've gotten so far. The Mall button is the button I made for it. So now, I guess how do I get the style's navbutton to work and hide the one the mod displays?

Although you should keep this in mind in the future should vb add something to a template that's needed for future functionality. I do know that with 3.6.6 they've added a bunch of template hooks to the templates.

I just manually went through comparing templates and adding the stuff for this style into each template. It's a long arduous process but worth it in the long run.

I know Allan, I've used that post to add every menu item I have, but it doesn't work with the hack without manipulation :)

Manipulation I still haven't figured out completely. I have BOTH Mall buttons. The one I created, and the one the mod inserts.

tehQspm: I must be freakin blind, I didn't see my text quoted. I thought you were talking about the menu. I don't know how to read the code. I just GUESS. lol I'm a horrible guesser. The problem is it normally works. I don't discover the problems it creates til later and then I have a bigger mess than I needed to clean up. I haven't reverted the templates or saved them yet this time. I think I will take the time to figure it out if I can. Thanks for the advice :)

ETA: I just tried comparing the changes and it's so over my head it's embarassing. I don't have a clue how to manually integrate. I guess I'll just leave it alone and hope Allan is possessed with the fervent desire to make it fully compatable :D

I know what you mean, I had trouble with the compare feature too. For the most part the only thing that needed to be added to the majority of templates is the small shadow at the bottom of each section (or table), the html code is:

that gets placed at the closure of a lot of tables in the templates. But some templates do have other stuff added to them.

I also found that I had to edit the navbar template since the navbar links are removed from it for this style and put into header instead. The upgrade restored navbar.

I should admit I have modified your " header" "footer" and "navbar" as well to suit my need
finally I got these corners although i have tried to replace these images with the Blue steel style images but still have to rename it counterwise. I am not using this style now waiting for this problem to solve.

I have paid for the new 3.6.7 version of this style and seem to have a slight issue with the JSFX header menu working in the PP Gallery that I hope someone here might be able to help me with.

In the Photopost Gallery of my site I get a JSFX error for the FAQ button. Please keep in mind that I have made NO changes to the header at all, the FAQ button works fine on every other page and it is ONLY the FAQ button that displays the error when the arrow is placed over it within the gallery. Just 1 question though, in Internet Explorer, my threads show up in center of page in forumdisplay. (only in IE - not in firefox) why ? and how do i fix this ?

Sure Allan I would be happy to get you login details. I do not believe this is an error on your part at all, hence the reason I never sent a 3rd email :p

The fix is to edit the header and head include, I changed 'faq' to jojo and that worked.

For future reference, I had this issue, twice now.

I just fixed it again. Lines 53, 54, 55 of the "header" template are the files you need to edit. Check the case, the "id='FAQ'" needs to agree with the onMouseover statements above it in the "FAQ" section of the rollovers.

For future reference, I had this issue, twice now.

I just fixed it again. Lines 53, 54, 55 of the "header" template are the files you need to edit. Check the case, the "id='FAQ'" needs to agree with the onMouseover statements above it in the "FAQ" section of the rollovers.

I have upgraded my forum to 3.6.7, and now I am having log in issues. When I try accessing the usercp, faq, etc., I am asked to once again log in, something I did not have to do before. Is this a known issue?

By the way, I am still using the version for 3.6.5, not the new one.

I haven't looked at this template myself however I ran into this problem while working on my own work, the problem I had was:

Firefox realizes that what you are really after is centering the next tag, Internet explorer in its infinite wisdom thinks you want to change the default alignment to everything between the tags to Center, therefore if you rely on the default of left align between <center> tags instead of specifying it you will run into this problem.

Again I have not looked at this template specifically, I just recognized the same symptoms I had run into.

I have done that but that is just for a single menu, i wanted a dropdown menu with many links on it just like the quick links menu.

I already thought this style resembled the prostyle i commercially had on sale. But now I am sure you got "inspired" by it. the shadow images are the same, the style css is the same and the html code is the same. Just renamed and updated for your custom version of it. Please note, that it's ok to get 'inspired' but at least make your own work?

The images are a 100% match, the templates are a 75% match in some templates that make some unique prostyle things, and the overal look reminds me of my style. With these matching images, and matching css/html .. I can't think but having to privately contact you outside of this web site about this.

I've had an email from the author of the style saying he will update the .zip here and from his commercial styles to not include my copyrighted work. I hope this can be realized soon.

I believe the point everyone is making here is the disconnect and discrepency between free and commercial...at this point Allan has abandoned his free offering without support and it appears that he is trying to cross over free users to paying customers and the vote is in...he's doing a crappy job at it.

And a small note...if someone is communicating and that communication is bad grammar or the use of the wrong word...that communication is ill delivered; especially if that person speaking bad grammar is promoting a product. ANYWAY...That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. :p

I don't recall insisting to any particular person...just helping you stick to the facts of what has transpired with this style and the feelings of neglect many are having.

So, if you think it's humorous when someone using this style asks for help from the originator...only to be solicited to purchase the same item with potentially the same crappy customer service and follow through: I don't see the humor in that...I'm sure those that are bothered by this whole thing don't either.

Yes that was and is obvious...but, the fact still stands that although this a free style and not supported...Allan's attempt to ignore questions and then try to convert the questioner's into customers, in my opinion is poor business practice and terrible treatment.

Did someone "port" this style to 3.6.9/3.6.10? The template changes are not too small, and sometimes I don't know what parts are changed by Jelsoft and what parts are part of your customizations. Any chance of an upgraded pack?
You can actually compare templates, new and old. Just click on the template you want to compare and it will give you a link to compare vBulletins Template vs. the Custom Template. Just look thoroughly through the codes.

Its a lot to ask, but been using it for two years now, and its awesome....

Reverted some templates with the last update, but think I shouldnt have, I lost the right vertical bar on all pages.
Dont know for sure, but think its in the footer templete?

Can you tell me where these bars are coming from, and what to check?
