This simply puts the very cool online pictionary Isketch (www.isketch.net) on your board. It is much easier to make a contest out of it, group together as a community in a room, Or just simply play it from your board! Might even boost registrations a little bit :D. I do plan on adding a simple shoutbox for added communication. It also includes a feature*OPTIONAL* that if they are on the page, it will display "Playing Isketch" on /online.php.
PLEASE CLICK INSTALL IF YOU USE THIS!
Support will only be given to users who click install, and will only be given in this thread.

You should add a feature so like, someone can draw something, everyone else can see it, and have a section so users can guess what it is.

It would be cool for a board like mine about video gaming, people can try to draw characters etc, and everyone else would guess which one it is.

Good idea, I forgot about that. Maybe I should just remove the guest code, but naah. Demo account now included. And Necrosaro, it is not my software, it even has references to the website, but I do have permission from their owners. You can go to "Create your own room". The game includes all the functions you just said. BTW, DEMO ACCOUNT PASSWORD IS NOW IN THE ORIGINAL THREAD!

but that's the downside.. everyone has to downlaod shockwave at my forums to use it.. and some don't like to download stuff.. not even messengers :p

it's relevent to the topic because it doesn't work for mac users. Shockwave is apparently an older player that is not supported natively for intel machinces, so you have to run the browser under rossetta in order to get shockwave to play.
In other words, it doesn't work for modern mac users.

Wow, just reassure them that it is safe, let me try and get a little message from adobe stating it is safe. I actually found a faq/knowledge base, so here you go, just post this to them-

Yes, i can see it now. Adobe releases a not safe product and you ask them about it and they turn around and say; NO! THIS PRODUCT IS NOT SAFE AT ALL! I MEAN HAY, THIS IS TERRIBLY BAD FOR OUR BUISNESS, BUT ITS NOT SAFE!! Hence the sarcasm.

UltimateOreo your right about this line: "Its not the hack, its the mac. Get windows." I would say Linux is the best OS, specially for people in the IT industry, however windows has more compatability. :)

I installed this, but when I try to connect it says 'The Server is Currently Full. Please try again later.' Then I go to a different forum that I know uses this, and I can get in just fine. Any ideas?

im getting the server busy message too

but then i went via the isketch homepage and it logged me in immediately

so i think there could be an issue

I get the same thing. I have yet to be able to login from my forums but can get in easily from isketch.net... Has anybody who installed this been able to play from their forums?

Can't log in once via test server, even at 4am. Can get in every time at isketch.net

Maybe they added some code not to allow outside connections, or outside connections are set very very low and there are no restrictions on isketch.net

I'm getting a "connection error. Please check your network settings or try again later" message - not the same as the other error I was getting before I put the fix in.

Try it again, I tried logging in on the other day and there was a server error also. It was most likely the server as I went through their main website.

I got the same error when attempting to log in directly through the source url you've got in the template ( http://88.198.9.81/isketch/iSketch392g.dcr ). I see from isketch's own site that the stuff in the template is the same code they use to call the game, so it does look like their site isn't too happy with outside connections.

To work around this, I just replaced your code in the isketch tempate with an iframe:

Not really - the two methods are doing basically the same thing. The difference is that the original tries to make the isketch code internal to vbulletin, so to speak, whereas my method leaves it completely external instead.

Edit: What would be nice would be if we could have a page refresh in the background so that people playing isketch are updated properly on Who's Online. I'm trying to figure out a way to do this now, so hopefully I can find something.

I installed this, works great, people love it. One thing I'd love to have, which I'm too dumb to make on my own, is a Who's iSketching? box, like flashchats Who's Chatting. Preferably something I can put on my vBadvanced Portal as a module. Any help would be appreciated!

What is the link to your board? The only thing that I can think of is that you didn't do the template edit for the style you are using. And for the module, I can try! I don't know if it will work though, the actual game is pretty big itself, but I will say that I tried!

I don't want the game in a module. Just like taking the information from the Who's Online where it shows people playing Isketch, and having a module with a list of people playing Isketch. You know what I mean?

People are always posting asking if anyone wants to play while there are already people playing. If I had a module on the main page showing which users were playing already they wouldn't need to post so often asking people to play.

FYI, making the isketch template screwed with my WOL list. It wouldn't show the location of people anymore. I removed the template and all was fine after that.
