I have started development on a Windows application that allows a vBulletin administrator to view real time details about their forum. It is currently in the early stages of development.

I am wondering if this is something you would find useful and if I should continue to develop it? I would also be in need of some forums willing to test it out for me.

Here are some sample screen shots. Keep in mind it is in very early development stages so it's far from a complete version.

The data that can be collected is really only limited to the imagination. If you can think of any information that would be useful, please let me know.

I don't think so. What I think this is is a Windows application that allows you to monitor your website. I imagine it would work with any server you are on, but the actual program itself is a Windows program to view real time statistics from your website from your home Windows OS.

I think it's a great idea, personally. Not sure how much I could benefit from it as my sites are just for fun for the most part. But, it'd be fun to see all the stats anyways, and I imagine it would be beneficial to many.

I use Google Analytics for most of my stats. Is there anything that this has that GA doesn't? Or does it do/show anything differently?

On another note, I think this is the wrong forum to put this as I don't see a release available for download.

This is looking good! Wonder if you would be able to create new threads/posts..

Some time back I started looking into setting something up so I could set up my home PC to accept incoming text messages and post them as new posts or threads. Talking to VB in this manner looks like a good starting point...

Why was this mod moved to the graveyard?

It would be cool if you could make the admin control panel off line like this, so that way, you would distribute the program to your admins, and you could set a password for their account to gain access to it. It would potentially stop acp hacking.

That's it. I'm talking to the admins trying to have it restored. Hang in there.

Why was this mod moved to the graveyard?

I didn't have it hosted on this site. I've agreed to host it here, I'm just waiting for the admins to restore it so I can update it.

Those who want to download it in the meantime can PM me for a download location.

I can't wait until this is publically released. I was actually thinking about this, seeing as some helpdesk applications have this, something like stardesk help application or something. GUI could use some work though.

It's looking like the admins aren't going to allow me to post this here as the zip file contains an exe file. Not quite sure where I will go from here.

Why whenever I try to run the vbinfo.php, it says something about authentication?

I wasnt in time to catch it whilst it was hosted on here, but id really like to try it out, it would be extremely useful for my forum. Could you possibly pm me a download link?

EDIT: Found it in your directory, trying it out now. Are you considering continuing development?

James

Will this be an open source project?

The URL doesn't work.

If I used windows it could be useful. Just one thing. In the forums screenshot, it says:

Threads: X out of Y (4% of total posts).

Shouldn't that be threads?

For the url not working, there's an extra : in the http: part.

ey Boots,

It keeps on giving me an error that there's no active link and if i want to install the link script.I've done it a dozen of times and VbInfo.php is at my webspace but it isn't working. It also display this exception maybe that's because my webserver is running Redhat Enterprise Linux ES (4) ?
