Auto usergroup addition?? Help please! THANKS

I need some help please.

I run a sexy vb clan website if I do say so myself. ;)

I'm looking to add a page which allows users to choose between 2 armies.

So theyll be 2 images which users can click on, Army A or Army B.

Once they have chosen I want them to be automatically added to a usergroup A or B.

Can someone please help me with how I would go about the auto addition to an army/usergroup.

Huge thanks in advance to anyone who can help or point me to a mod that may help me in coding this.

If you can be content with letting them choose by selecting an option IN THEIR PROFILE, you can use this one directly. Otherwise, it might serve as a basis of a mod of your own...
