Please remember to click Mark as Installed if you use this modification.
Support questions from members who have not marked this as installed will be considered low priority.

This adds a simple display of all members who have visited the forum - either today (i.e. since the users midnight) or in the last 24 hours.

Note: it is not possible for this hack to count guests.

The main features of the 3.7 version are as follows ;

1. It displays the list on the Forum Home.
2. The list view is collapsable, so you just see the number.
3. Invisible users are only displayed to those allowed to see them (with a "*")
4. Users who should display as coloured or bold etc will be displayed correctly (based on the display usergroup).
5. If you 'hover' over a username it will show the time they were last active.
6. The list is in member name order.
7. The mod is phrased.
8. The ability to turn it on/off is in the ACP Options.
9. The ability to allow only certain usergroups to view the list is an ACP option (include or exclude groups).
10. The switch between Visited Today and Rolling 24 Hours is an ACP option.
11. The listing of members can be suppressed (a simple message is displayed instead).
12. The list of names can be set to be always collapsed on initial view.
13. An option to record and display the Most Ever Members can be enabled.

(Options are in vBulletin Options > Who has visited today)

To install just unzip the XML and import into vB using the ACP Product Manager.

There's a problem when trying to install this modification, and it says there was a bitfield conflict with vB Credits, which was changed from another bitfield value because that clashed with vBulletin. Is there a way to change the bitfield for this modification to just about anything else?

That's odd, the error message said something like that when importing this product. Then again, it keeps saying that for others as well.

The bitfield check is done on any product import, you need to fix whatever bitfields are clashing.

Okay, figured out the problem. There was a bitfield clash with the prefix required thing in vBulletin by default, hence I guess it said there was a clash when anything was imported into vBulletin. Got this modification up and running now...

You dont choose them, you list them in the relevant option.

Comma seperated list of primary usergroups - used in conjunction with the include/exclude setting to determine which members are allowed to view the Who has Visited display.

Hmmm, a clash of variable name I guess. This can only happen if you have the "Run code on all pages option set". I also think its a bit bad that group.php doesnt clear $group at the start. I suppose I'll have to change it, it'll have to wait though, and probably isnt the only one that needs checking. VB should really clear that variable, not just blindly assume it wont exist.

After going from VB3.6.8 to V3.7 Gold, I upgraded from latest 3.6 release to 3.7.003, only so that so that checking the version number would return the lastest 3.7 version instead of staying on the old 3.6 version.

For some reason it now shows "The most members online in one day was xxx, 11-14-2006." twice.

Uninstall, reinstall, no difference. Change skins, no difference. Turning wvtmost off in the admin panel takes it back to showing it once.

The code for the 3.6 and 3.7 releases seems almost identical except for the first conditional statement that features wvtmost. Not sure if that makes any difference.

Not complaining at all, just thought I'd bring it to your attention.

Yes, the social groups problem only occurs if the "run code on all pages" is selected.

The only way that could happen is if the other 36 have chosen to be invisible, and you dont have permission to see invisible users (as a guest, thats normal).

There is no other possible way I can see for that to happen, it counts them as it builds the display, and its counted 37. There is nothing else I can tell you without admin access to see what is breaking it for you.

JakeAppliance - I had a look for you today with the admin details you provided - your problem was that you still had a very early 3.5 plugin version of the WVT mod installed - and it was interfering with the current version. I have deleted it for you so you should be ok now. :)

You need to get a fix from the author of the credits modification you are using. It has nothing to do with this mod - all bitfields are checked whenever you install a product.

Start by looking at all your plugins (in the plugin manager) to see if you can see any entries for who has visited, that dont belong to the 3.7 product id (paulm_wvt_37).

I have a profile field which shows a crest (logo) of the team the member supports. Is it possible to show the field on the list of members that are shown on this hack?

Assuming I understood you - edit the "Display_Visitors_User" template.

I created a userfield option where people select there team from a dropdown in the usercp and they then have a crest (little logo) to the right of there name. To get this to work I was told I had to create a plugin but didn't know how, so someone on here done it for me, the plugin is this:

Hi installed the mod working. Was quick and easy thanks and is working fine, thank you.

Is it possible to change or remove the whos_online.gif? It looks a little strange having the same image twice so close together.

I installed this on my test forum, worked great.
Now trying to install it on my real forum and I'm getting the following error when I import.

When I browse to the file, and then click on upload I get the following.

No file uploaded and no local file found.

Notice it says the most visitors online in one day was 19 'today' and today just started as it is about 0700 and have had only 3-visitors so far.

I am running 3.7.2 and have had this installed since 3.7.0

Is there any other area that I should have upgraded or looked at?

Is there a way to get a list in time order of the members that visited?

For example on myBB when you click on members who visited today

it displays the a list of members that had visited in the last 24 hours and the time they were last active.

Member A - 10.43
Member B - 10.15
Member C - 9.58
etc.

Having the same issue.
Installed this yesterday and at the end of the day it said "The most members online in one day was 307, Today."

Today (new count), it still says "The most members online in one day was 307, Today." (in stead of "Yesterday". All my members are in the same timezone...
How come? :)

I created a userfield option where people select there team from a dropdown in the usercp and they then have a crest (little logo) to the right of there name. To get this to work I was told I had to create a plugin but didn't know how, so someone on here done it for me, the plugin is this:

Product: vbulletin
hook location: forumhome_loggedinuser
title: football crests
Plugin PHP Code: $online_userinfo = fetch_userinfo($loggedin['userid']);

I just don't get it. Our highest count was two days ago, yesterday it was saying "Today" for the WHOLE day (so it didn't catch up!) and today it's telling us that the highest count was yesterday.

Looks like the script is 24 hours behind.
How do we resolve/reset this?

I cannot comment on your inistallation as I have no access to your forum, but I would guess you have at least one member in a different timezone.

In the style options, there are alternating colors for tables. Normally I override that by changing the div class to something like "alt3" or whatever name I choose, but I can't find a place to force a div class on this product.

Everything this displays is done via its own templates, just edit them as required.

I've had the same thing. I know this mod doesn't use the same record in datastore as 'Most users ever online'.

Paul can you let me know which table and record your mod is storing it's information in please, specifically the 'Most members online in a day'?

*Edit - Scrap that. I'm thick lol. It is the same 'maxloggedin' record in the datastore table, just at the end.

The original code is taken directly from vb.com, as linked, and adapted to change the value shown by your mod. I informed people to double check it first, I'm not a SQL coder as should be apparent and do not pretend to be, but as it worked for me on my test, and now live, site I figured someone else with more knowledge would be able to take it and clean it up/refine it. But more then anything I thought it might actually help some people with, what looks to be, a common problem.

As far as I can see the only other dates/values that would be reset is the 'Most users ever online' value, which I wanted it to do as both needed resetting.

You state there is no easy way, but then tease people that if they had knowledge and experience that they could do it. So why not just explain how it's done and let people then decide themselves if they have the relevant knowledge or experience to take the task on and make the change(s) properly?

Paul M, I never talked in ordered tone :) English is not my native language, so I sometimes use not entirely correct phrases.
I wanted to say then that it seems to me that it would be appropriate to correct version in phrases.

It might be a conflict with another mod but since I installed this my "most members online in one day" count, along with the most users using flashchat (i.e. the PaulM mod) and most users online in the default Who's Online display, are continually being reset. That is, if there are x members online then the "most members" and "most users" counts are x, while the chat always displays the most members in one day as "0, 01-01-1970". Any ideas or suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

Something else is corrupting the datastore. It was a common problem after 3.6 was released, as code written for 3.5 would break it in the manner you describe.
