We attempted to write a test file to /path/to/your/attachment/directory, but we were unsuccessful. Please verify that the web server has write/delete permissions for this path.

I strongly doubt that "/path/to/your/attachment/directory" is the real path to your attachment directory.

What did you enter for the directoryname?

No we don't you aren't being clear and grammar helps.
I highly doubt that "/path/to/your/attachment/directory/" is a real directory path.

Try creating a new folder in "public_html" called "attachments" then a path like:
/home/public_html/attachments/
