What is the benefit of this mod? I'm not seeing it.

OK let me explain becuase I figured it out. Pretty cool actually. For everyone using a Tabbed browser and surf multi sites at once this is good. Instead od having to read the page you can just look at your tab after a refresh to see if there any new posts.

Would be better if it was ajax so you didn't have to refresh but pretty nie idea.

This is pretty cool - but it doesn't seem to reset after you've viewed the new posts?

With the popularity of Google Chrome coming out since this mod, I think it would be awesome if this concept could be applied to the homepage tab for a forum.

That way all people have to do is look at the tab of your forum (in the row of website tabs) to see whether any new posts have been made there or not.
