I edited the meetstaff_usergroupbit template, to show additional info on the staff page. I omitted the original biography from it & added a new biography section with larger text area & moved it up below send email. Check it out, http://teamamp.us/forum/staff.php

If you wish to do the same, create a new User Profile Field via admincp/User Profile Fields/Add New User Profile Field.
Select Multiple-Line Text Box
Title: Biography2 (Or what ever you want to name it)
Description: Enter what you wish here
Max length of allowed user input: 100
Field Length: 70
Text Area Height: 10
Display Order: Should be filled in allready
Field Required: No
Display Order: Should be filled in as well. REMEMBER this number, you will need it later.
Display Page: Edit Your Details
Click Save.

Now, You will need to create a new phrase via admincp/Languages & Phrases/Phrase Manager/Add New Phrase
Varname: fieldx_title (Change x To Field Number)
Text: Biography2
Click save.
Remember to save a copy of this template before you edit it. You may need to use it, in case you have an error
Now, Go to Styles & Templates/Search in templates,
search for meetstaff_usergroupbit
Find:

Before you released your mod, I got the links to the IM programs to work after some tweaks. However, I couldn't get the conditionals to work and hide the IM programs that the user had entered no details for. If you could add this feature, that would be perfect. Thanks!

I fixed my issue, for some reason All styles were not updating. This is a first for me. I had to copy the meetstaff_usergroupbit template from a style that this was functioning on and over write my default meetstaff_usergroupbit template with that info, now all styles show it correctly. I still edited mine as per my post I edited the meetstaff_usergroupbit template, to show additional info on the staff page. ohh well this might be big but is it possible you can make a big template change so it would change the WHOLEEEE of showgroups.php?

No, I only wish to grab content from the send message drop down located in Your Profle via the memberinfo_block_contactinfo template on line Two.

Jelsoft benefits from their product: They make money.

Hasann benefits from his product being installed: It increases his "reputation"... otherwise he wouldn't want everybody to click Install.
In other words, he has no reason to ask us all to click Install if it didn't benefit him.

Same effect, whether it's money or it makes a person look better.

I certainly will not click Install if I haven't installed the product. I am very fair when using the system here at vB.org.
If I install something, I surely mark it as Installed... If I uninstall it, I reflect my settings to show that.

Real-life Application: I wouldn't go tell a friend that I voted for Barack Obama for President just so that my friend would like me (if that was what my friend wanted to hear). If I voted for somebody else, I wouldn't lie just to benefit the friendship.

Anyways, It doesn't matter anymore.

I edited the meetstaff_usergroupbit template, to show additional info on the staff page. I omitted the original biography from it & added a new biography section with larger text area & moved it up below send email. Check it out, http://teamamp.us/forum/staff.php

If you wish to do the same, create a new User Profile Field via admincp/User Profile Fields/Add New User Profile Field.
Select Multiple-Line Text Box
Title: Biography2 (Or what ever you want to name it)
Description: Enter what you wish here
Max length of allowed user input: 100
Field Length: 70
Text Area Height: 10
Display Order: Should be filled in allready
Field Required: No
Display Order: Should be filled in as well. REMEMBER this number, you will need it later.
Display Page: Edit Your Details
Click Save.

Now, You will need to create a new phrase via admincp/Languages & Phrases/Phrase Manager/Add New Phrase
Varname: fieldx_title (Change x To Field Number)
Text: Biography2
Click save.
Remember to save a copy of this template before you edit it. You may need to use it, in case you have an error
Now, Go to Styles & Templates/Search in templates,
search for meetstaff_usergroupbit

OK, then edit it to only show the usergroups you wish to display.

You can use this to make multiple pages to display any usergroup.

That's exactly why I would like to use both systems independently- Forum Leaders would be a long list of donors, while Meet out Staff would be a short list of moderators with additional profile info - however, I would in that case need to modiy the code in staff.php to list usergroups 5, 6, and 7 instead of checking the vboptions. Through my question I'm asking how I'd accoplish the above modification.

This has nothing to do with the Modification. You have to set the usergroup option for the Miserable users to not show up in Forum Leaders.

Edit the Usergroup -> Viewable on Show Groups: No

You edited yours quite a bit from what I am seeing. Looks like you removed everything
but the bios section. That was set below everything, spanning 100%. You will need to
view history of your template & re-add what you are missing to allow is to change in size.

I believe that is discussed in this thread. If you upgraded to 2.0, it picks up avatars.
Look at your Meet the staff templates. View the history of them. Compare old to new.

I tried to install this mod (wich I really like btw) onto my site however I am getting this code when I click the link to test it...

The requested URL /forum/staff.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I uninstalled and did the process over again but, still the same can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

16 pages is it? I have looked through 100's of post to try on my own behalf to
find the answers I am searching for before I ask for a member to tell me how.

will this add-on disable if the view forum leaders is dis-abled ?
As when I dis-abled the forum leaders and added the plugin as mentioned in: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showpost.php?p=1569303&postcount=104
I get you don't have privilages error, I had to manually remove view forum leaders, but set yes to view forum leaders to get it working

Would be nice to see this mod be expanded a little, where you can customise which usergroups are displayed.

E.g. If my 'Staff' consisted of 'News Team' and 'Administrators', i could choose to display them.

Great mod though, +1 install.

Are you talking about the Biography as in under custom avatar etc.............

if so then remove the conditional from the template "meetstaff_usergroupbit"

this code can be removed to make it neater to view in postbit legacy

If you mean add it to the Vbadvanced........... then do as you would do normally by integrating the "staff.php" via the normal inegrating system in vba, im not sure why you would want to change the php file to something other than it is ?

u can integrate the page in vba and change the index name to something you would want ..........then is not staff but something you would rename to...........your choice really although no advantage as such

is because if i creat 1 group , that will group will show too, how i remove this group from showing?
