Random Smilies - Editor Pages

What is this?

I have been using vBulletin for over four years, and realized only a few days ago, that every time you'd load the newthread/newreply page, you would get some smileys in a random position, but it was always the same smileys, over and over. This is not the greatest feature for people who have uploaded hundreds of smilies (like I did) and knowing that there's only a small portion of people that would click the 'more...' link, yet see it. This is why I decided to came up with this mod which will allow board owners who have tons of smileys on their server, to always randomize the smileys displayed on their editor pages (newthread, newreply) and never get to see the same smiley again.

Enough with the blah blah, I want a demo!

Sure, and I did not forget you! I have setup a demo account just for YOU!

If you wish to make a new thread, please do so in the link above and not in any other forum. Thank you!

I'm unexperienced/inexperienced! This is probably some rocket science!

Fear not, this is a really easy modification which takes a second to install (just edit a .php file) and you're done!

Great, now what?!

Just download the attachment below, and don't forget to click install (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/vborg_miscactions.php?do=installhack&threadid=188827) to show your appreciation!

DON'T FORGET TO SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION, CLICK INSTALL (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/vborg_miscactions.php?do=installhack&threadid=188827)!

THANK YOU!

I'll do what everyone does and reserve this post!

FAQ

Q: Can you make this edit a plugin?! I don't want to edit the file functions_editor.php every time vBulletin updates!

A: I can, but I doubt I will because if I make it a plugin, it will add one more query to load when viewing an editor page which makes your loading times slower.

Indeed, that was an issue that I realized myself. Because when you have 800 smilies, it's because you want people to use them! :p

It's just a notice to everyone that has upgraded to 3.7.3:

They have made updates to the functions_editor.php; therefore, you have probably overwritten that file, so if you were happy with the modification, I recommend you to make that small change again! :)
