What do you do about sites that use the vB.org style...? I've seen a few.

i dont think you can report the vbulletin.org style being ripped off to vbulletin.com piracy as they didnt design it, and this isn't an "offical site"

nope, actually, the person who is going to protect the style of this site is the creator, Princeton... he was alerted as soon as the report was made (hey, by me as usual), and i suppose Joe will handle it with his own copyright infrigement policy!

It depends really. Everyone nicks mods/code bits from other sites. If they copied the style completely, yeah, that's crap, but there really isn't much to be done about it.
Not to mention that this style is a beast. I did my own version of Princeton's tab script up top. It took me months to sort out and doesn't work/look nearly as good as his does, but it's where I got the idea. I honestly can't see many people being able to spot-on copy this theme without being good enough to code one like it of their own.
tbh i hate vb.org style - i think it looks really basic so unsure why people would want to rip it off.

The vb.org style is pretty basic and easy to copy, if someone really wanted to. It's bog-standard graphics mostly with some tabs. In fact, I do believe we have a variation of it on our graphics site... not the same but similiar and have had it a long time.... I think (if memory serves) we used some nicer graphics than the vb default images tho... that's me not liking the default images, not criticising the vb org style :)
Some people seem to have the wrong idea, the style is designed to be pretty "basic", not fancy.

To be honest, while I'm not a fan of the default vb style or images, to me it makes sense that org uses it as it identifies the site for what it is.
yep and not heavy on gfx which take time to load but I don't like skins that don't use the full width as look at all that wasted space which could be put to good use
