just import the todays_top_poster.xml product file via admincp -> product manager -> import/export products

One tiny problem I just noticed. I made 10 posts in a private/hidden forum today, and 2 in a public forum. It says I'm the top poster with 12 posts.

It's no big deal, it's just that if someone clicked the link to view my posts they would only see that 2 posts have been made today, unless they had access to that forum.

If it ends up being a problem I can always just remove the link to view the posts, but you might want to doublecheck if there's a way to fix this.

Still love this mod though :)

3.8.0 and yes,its turned on to display 3 posters, I really like where its supposed to be showing and am thinking another hack is stopping it from showing..:cool:

I've uninstalled it now as had it running for 2 weeks and not a lot of profiles were being rated so was no point in it, would rather prefer something that encourages posting and this will do nicely, 100th install for me. :up:

If I have

forum1
forum2
forum3
forum4
forum5 - hidden, admin and mod only
forum6
forum7
etc.
etc.

eg. If I post 100 posts in a day into forum5 and nowhere else, then the registered members
will see me the top poster with 100 posts and think something is wrong because they cant
see forum5. So I would like to exclude forum5 from the count.

Looked into this a bit further, the (4) and (1) posts were made by a moderator and an admin on the site, these usergroups are not meant to appear in the top posters, their username doesnt show but the amount of posts do, it works correctly if no-one is excluded.

Works fine for me except that whether I put Position 3 or 4 it still goes to the last position (which is position 4 in my case).

I'm having the EXACT same problem, I have an RSSBot that posts in the RSS Section, and I've added both the Forum ID's AND The RSSBot in the Exclude function you have on there, but it's not working what so ever.

I can verify it. It still counts the posts in my Admin section as well.

I just excluded admins from showing on the list.

I'll try to make it more clear...

I have now 20 posts.
Then I exclude my admin section from the stats and post there. Now I have 21 posts in the stats.

I think it should be still 20??


It's not a big problem though...

Installed but none of the "exclude" options seem to work. Installed as is, no changes or code hack to it.
Example, added form id of Admin forums, but still shows post count.

Searched through this entire thread and found no definitive resolution to this specific issue. Has anyone figured this out, because it looks as if Hasann isn't going to bother at this point...

When I click on the post-count beside each user it does leave out the posts made in excluded forums in the listed results, but it doesn't diminish the count beside the user itself. On my forum users are gain certain advantages as a result of their posting activity in relevant content forums. This mod is of no use whatsoever if it cannot be configured to display results on the forumhome accurately in this capacity.

Yeah that may come off as arrogant, but the lack of any real response to all of the quoted questions above could also be interpreted as such. ;)

If I can polish up the faulty code and get it to work I'll post what I did here.

I have two style templates, the coding in the aNtime style is installed correctly as descibed earlier. The template I am using has been modified. The following is the coding around the Welcome_to_our_newest_member line.

I am running vb 4.0.3, I just updated from the 1.2 version to the 2.0 and it will not display. I tried installing the code mentioned between the </div> and it just displays the code, not the stats...any suggestions on how to get it to display?

This mod works very well (thanks Hasann!) however, for those not seeing the display or for those that would like to move the display to a more suitable place in their forumhome template, you might want to try this.

Set the mod up in your ACP and then remove $template_hook[forumhome_wgo_pos2] from your forumhome template. (all styles - you don't need it) Pick that perfect spot and add this code to your forumhome template.
