Allow user to change name

I am wondering if someone can create a hack that allows users to change their names in their profile. I have seen it before. Please if this can be done, I would really like for someone to attempt it.

It would be the same as a custom rank only for usernames. I know the rank already can be done. I hope the usernames also.
