Did you like highschool? What are your memories of highschool?
For me, waste of time. Could have working more and going to college earlier.
I felt far to mature for all the highschool nonsense... Cheerleading, pep rallies.. ect.

High school was a huge joke, but I loved every minute of it. My friends and I can still laugh for hours about some of the moments.
College seems to be the same thing, only that I have worry about job employment instead of college applications now. Fun!

Oh no... not a Highschool thread :(
I HATED Highschool at first... i thought it was a burden, and was SO HAPPY to skip school A LOT.
Even before graduation, i was so excited to "be free" of my daily going to school.
Now, 8 months have passed and feel melancholic when i think back to the good moments i had in those 5 days of Highschool.
Yes, some days were bad, some were better, but we had so much fun... now i don't have any colleagues... College is pretty nice, but it's nothing like Highschool.
I can do a 20 minutes walk to the college, it took 40-50 minutes with a bus to get to Highschool... not fun :(

I hated the odd years. Loved the even ones.
It was a good place to pass the time and meet up with people to do things?

HI Mag,
No worries, college can be a blast, you just have to find a group of people with your same interests and the parties that go with this. ;)

Did anyone else have to carry around fake babies for health class? The teachers were so serious about it, but it was a huge joke. I'm laughing just thinking about it.

LOL Danny, My daughter did. It was so ridiculous that we couldn't stop laughing the whole weekend my daughter had it. I actually dropped it from waist high and it measured some type of wierd thing and my daughter failed the first attempt, even after a sent a note to her teacher. Some gramma I'm gonna make some day. LOL

My girlfriends sister just had one of those.. It would sit facedown on the couch all day long.. Every once in a while it would cry and require a key to be put in its butt. You had to figure out which key to put in (a whole whopping three keys) though..
It's pretty close to real life. I imagine that if she really had a baby at 15, it would sit face down on the couch and have things stuck up its' butt too.
I'm in it right now, and honestly, I hate it. Nobody at my school is technologically minded, so it gets kinda lonely sometimes. That also means that they don't offer courses I'm interested in (I have to take courses at a local college to get any programming education at all)

Did I enjoy highschool? I sure did! I was a band geek of the 1st order - I was 1st chair tuba in the highschool band, I was principle tubist in the City's Symphony "Orchestra", I earned a trip to the Vatican in which I played some of the most fabulous tuba notes and shook hands with the then Pope John Paul II, I drank my 1st legal Gin & tonic in Rome ---- I discovered beer my senior year and screwed up a few paid-for scholarships in the States - Sure I did - I enjoyed highschool like the then class stud has a beer belly now.... I suppose it's a good damn thang I'm still more sexy than an infraction :D

Class of 93 here.
It was a blast.
It was hard work, but then I was not one to screw off much with people my own age, or take minimum requirement classes like the masses did to graduate. School is a place to learn not to socialize. I did math through Trigonometry and Math Analysis, science through Chemistry and AP Physics, 3 years of computer technical drafting, extra classes after school, and extra summer school classes on fields I would not get to take during school years. I also did 2 years of Greco-Roman Wrestling and weightlifting. I ran lights, sound and stage equipment during plays and assemblies and worked in the school cafeteria for all 4 years.
Oh, I did goof off on Fridays after school in a organized role playing game with 30-50 people I hosted. (dice, character sheets, maps, figurines, etc)
It is all a mind set and what you want out of it.

Going to high school, I was under so much pressure to do well in all my classes. Take all of the advance classes and college classes. Then i got to college and was like what the hell, I did not even need half of these classes. My major did not need them and gen eds, they were not required.
But highschool help make me who i am today. I had a ton of friends and I have lots of good memories from it. So it was a blast.

Since I'm still in High School (scary, I know!), I enjoyed my first 2 years much better than the last 2 so far.

That's not health at my school (Thank god!), but it's a special class that involves that stuff.

You should take the class...its so funny. My advice is: Do well in classes, take the honors and AP classes if you can but don't forgot to have fun and socialize because High School is what you make of it.

I don't have the room in my schedule to take it. But here's my schedule:
Period 1: English Honors
Period 2: (Monday & Wednesday) Physics Honors, (Tuesday & Thursday) Gym, (Friday) Study Hall
Period 3: Physics Honors
Period 4: AP American History
Period 5: Yearbook / Newspaper
Period 6: Trigonometry Honors
Period 7: Communications II / III (Video Production, combined class, I'm technically in II).
Period 8: Band Honors
So I fit every AP and Honors class I could take this year into my schedule. Let's see about next year. :D

Horror is a good synonym for it. But yes. :) I'm crazy.
