Newsfader and Star help

Newfader problem: It won't show up, but everything works...
Stars problem: when I try to run the mysl.php to upgrade it says:
There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Generally you have to wait more than 4 hours. The people able to help may be in another time zone and fast asleep.

You's probably also have a better chance of getting an answer if you posted your questions in the appropriate threads that are already setup for discussions on these hacks.

The star post is closed and barely any1 goes to the newsfader post. BTW I'm using VB version 2 final

You didn't read the stars hack thread carefullye enough. Tubedogg has started a new thread on this, and it is open:

Also there are known problems with the Newsfader hack and it has been shown not to work correctly with vB 2.0.X. The author has not updated this hack yet.
