View Full Version : Grabbing New Posts in a Tab
http://www.bbwforums.net/forum/
That is my forum. You see I have a tab on the right I left open. What I want to do is grab what would be posts that would appear in the new posts page, and put them there under the tab.
I think there is a way to do this because I saw a different forum do this for about 2 days, but then they removed it.
Please help!
You'd have to write the query to go in the code for the tab. I have no idea how that modification works, but I'm sure there is a place to put in code and that is where you would add stuff.

Hey Bud! You might have seen a site that was using the Beta Version of TFH v 2.0 It has the ability to add modules as tabs and one of many modules is a recent threads module. You are using the NON AJAX version of TFH (the one I developed for you).

Hey man!
Oh. So what I would need would be something completely different then? There would be no way to pull it with what I currently have?

you could.... a plugin would have to be written to pull it off. Not sure if I would have time to do it tho. There might even be someone that has written a plugin that could be used to pull it off.
Is there a link to the Beta Version of TFH v 2.0 then? Would I have to completely change everything around then?

http://www.smnlikdat.org/ That is our dev site. Register and PM me there and I will put you in the Beta Tester group which gives you access to it.
It is a lot different than what I set you up with. Pretty easy to install and configure. Do you have a Dev Site now?
What about the generation that gets displayed in the portals? Would that be like the same code? What is that?
