How to change an image location?

Hey guys, i have a quick question.

I have recently made a new forum on the domain www.new.e3-clan.net, i did this becuase i wanted to keep it a secret until it was completed.

Later i changed the location of the forum to www.e3-clan.net.

Everything seems to be working ok, i have changed all the css and image locations from www.new.e3-clan.net to www.e3-clan.net.

There are still a few problems i am having and i dont really know why, the image below shows the word "default" in a red circle, this should be an image. When i right click it and go to properties it says its try to get the image from: http://www.new.e3-clan.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif but the new. should not be there. anymore.

The second problem i am having is that i have created a forum that is a link. Here is an example of what i have done with the link for the forum.

http://www.e3-clan.net/example

However the forum is trying to take people to the following:

http://www.new.e3-clan.net/example

So again its putting .new where is shouldn't be doing any more, i cannot find anything else to change, please give me some advise.

Whenever designing a style ALWAYS use relative locations for images :)

for example instead of using
<img src="http://www.mysite.com/images/styles/logos/logo1.png" />
use
<img src="./images/styles/logos/logo1.png" />

That way it will work on any domain and folder you put it in.

as for your second problem, links as well should be relative unless they go to an outside site, then you just put the regular link in :)

Thanks :D I managed to fix most of the problems with your advise :D

The only thing that is still not fixed is the little default image, i have no idea where the code is or where i need to go to edit the location of that image :/

ADMIN CP > Post Icons > Post Icon Manager > View > Edit each image.

do a search in your templates for

"new.e3-clan.net"

You will find all the current issues, but as to the image, it is calling it from
http://www.new.e3-clan.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif

To edit that image open up postbit.css

And everything you need to edit is here or you can use the post icon manager (above post)

Unless you manually set the post icon in template postbit_legacy and in that case you will have to go into it and fix it.
