With this addon the second post is not necessarily a post Google Adsense ADS as to release the users was chosen to allow free insertion of HTML Ads.

This addon is derived from the version for vb4

Warning: This addon has been tested on vb 3.8.6 should work for all 3.8.x

The addon has the following functions:

1) automatically uses the style of postboard (postbit o postbit_legacy)
2) it is possible to exclude some forum posts from viewing ads
3) it is possible to exclude some groups of users from viewing post ads
4) it is possible to exclude some discussions based on prefix
5) it is possible to customize the user profile virtual ads - nickname and avatar
(usertitle – Location - Join Date ecc. need to modify the phrase)
6) it is possible to use a second circuit Ads (the second option ads is strongly bound by the general filters: Forums to be Excluded)

Works fine with: Thread Display Mode: Linear Oldest first

Import product_second_post_ads.xml
Configure in vBulletin Options -> CT → Ads Second Post

Added it and customized it a bit.

Added a simulated signature field and a title line as well as did some minor customizations.

Just a quick note about the effectiveness of this mod.

Since installing it, I have seen an increase in Google Adsense clicks and revenue. This ad placement had previously been used (after 1st post), but with no extra styling. It would get an occasional click and would account for approximately 5% of my clicks and about the same in revenue.

After this mod was added, I have had a little less than 20% of my clicks through this ad and it has accounted for nearly 25% of my revenue from the Google Adsense.

Can someone tell me what prefix means in "Prefix to be Excluded"?

Also, what is "Second Code Ads"? Is this an ad that takes priority for the forum IDs specfied in "forums with personalized ads"?

Thank you. I have a suggestion for the next version. Can you include a field to exclude ads based on the forum style selected? For example, I have an iPhone style/skin and would prefer it not to appear on that style since it is mostly used by mobile devices where I have smaller ad placements.

I did most of this the hard way with a template edit, but tagging for now, this looks easier to maintain in the long run.
