The time at the bottom of my screen was not correct for my time zone. Is there a hack to correct for daylight savings? Is this too much to code into the options for time? I know this seems trivial but it would be nice not to have to remember ONE MORE thing to do.
In the users options area it would be nice to see an options for daylight savings.
Thanks!:)

I dont think there is one available, and it's a real problem with VB for Windows 2000 servers.
A correctly configured Windows 2000 server has to have its clock synced to a Time Server, so in the UK, it's now set to BST. Which is 1 hour out, and throws all the other time zones out as well.
Resurrecting this thread....

Simple! We add the following option in the Admin CP:
Does this server change automatically with Daylight Saving Time?
Yes/No
If no is selected, we correct for the change on the correct days. If yes is selected, we don't have to worry about this.
Then add an option for users to enable or disable daylight saving time.
Do you live in a locality that observes Daylight Saving Time? Yes/No
Then adjust the times during the correct periods of the year.
We'll have to do some research on how Daylight Saving works around the world, but I see this is as a necessary option that I'm sad vBulletin doesn't include by default.

This site details the complexity of this endeavor ;) I want to make it work...

I'd welcome a hack like this :)
Well, I've gotten the basic workings of this hack down. What I have so far, is the ability for users to enable or disable North American DST, regardless of whether the server automatically adjusts it's local time for DST or not.
I'm wondering if it's worth adding other forms of DST to this hack. For example, Europe uses completely different times and days for DST. Same with Australia. What's your opinion on this guys?
