Here is the clan hack I have been working on and everyone has been asking for. This hack will display only your clan members and no one else, plus you get a total clan members count as well. I have released this as a beta since the page navigation still needs to be completed. I will only support this on this forum, no emails, ICQ etc... Enjoy!

doh, i thought this worked differently than it does. Now im in the same predicament as i was before. I have like 20 user groups with varying permissions :(
Thought it used user profile fields to sort the groups =\

No it doesn't do that...if you give me a list of the usergroups and tell me what you need I can do it for you...also give me a layout of what you want it to look like.
hmm, I could work somthing out. The problem is id need it to be in a way I could add more at any times, it would have to pull 2 groups and put the together (sometimes 3)
Since the way my clan is we are always expanding into new games, and some members are in a few different teams, so i need a group with both permissions. Its definatly a mess ;P

I think your using vB's permissions setup wrong to be honest. The names of your user groups should reflect their clan or group membership. Then modify the ban hack to allow user to be added/moved into clan groups if thats what you want to do. Then you can echo the users clan as the usergroup title of the usergroup they are in.
Just a thought, and all that.

Can I just like say this guy is part of this clan, and this guy is part of this clan, and let them see one special forum for each of them, but have on their postbit, their clan name?

Yeah, (usergroup name) - it would involve another query, as $bbuserinfo[usergroupid] exists, where as $bbuserinfo[usergrouptitle] doesn't exit - to my knowledge :)
hmm interesting hack, soo i have a clanhosting forum, for hosting clanforums, and now i am searching for a multiversion for every clan on my board. ideas?

How would I add a second usergroup to a specific user field? Say if, Clanmembers actually pulled from 2 different usergroups. I tried just adding that usergroup id in but ofcourse that didnt work lol. clanmember = 3,4;
Also, I want to add the WWW back in (like in the original memberslist), is there an easy way to do this?

sorry can i ask what this is. I don't understand. Can you have it so say 1 clan can't download attachements till they get like 25 posts then they move up to the next clan in which they can download things?

No, this hack is basically a Clan Members List hack that only displays the clan members and not the rest of the vb members.

I'm working on another version for this hack and should have it done in the next few days. There is also another hack as well that will display Clan Server Stats which can be viewed here (http://www.islandncs.com/gw/rtcwserver.php), this is based on the ASP version of WolfLive but will have an admin front end and allow you to view multiple servers and this should be complete in the next few days as well.

You don't know what a clan is? r u just kidding, or? hehe.
so, a clan is a team of people which play together , this is a clan. But still more things constitute a clan and the actual is clarified thereby.
How's the new version coming along? :D

Great news indeed, just need to know how i would go about making members status active and inactive as i have the beta installed but there is no comment in the status field? thanks

The hack is still being worked on and is starting to shape up quite nicely. It will be a portal of sorts for a clan with server stats, clan member info etc...I may wait till vb3.0 before I release it as I don't want to have to rewrite it all together.

Please don't:) 3.0 is months away.
Do you have an updated beta for the one originally posted by chance? This looks like a great hack.

i was wondering if it would be possible to get this hack to work with a portal?
i would like to move the clanmembers.php to my root directory under /forums.
what should i change to do this?

Hi - I am on step 4.... I am a bit comfused as I am not too familiar with this clan/usergroup thing.
I am able to customize it for a sports club, but step 4: do I make a profile field for all choices (leader, founder, member etc) ... and why is it just 2 fields in the showclan_bit?
When I made custom fields before I could just add text there....

As part of the ProxyMX package im releasing an elite clan for elite force, And i would like a Clan Site package, so far all the clan site packages have had poor coding and were rife with sql and php errors, anyone got any suggestions
{Btw if your good at elite force, we are lookin for a leader :P}
