This is for a small add-on to one of my hacks..

I need to know how to check if a member has read the newest thread in a forum. NOT the post, but the thread ;)

How can I do this? This hack resides in index.php, so hopefully I can use this code in index.php.

Might not be a bad idea to get the code for reading a post, too, just in case there is a certain post you want ALL users to read. :)

Yeah, there is a certain post I need my members to read in the newest announcement thread, the first post!! :)

That's alittle going out of the way Boofo. Right now I just need to know how to check if a user has viewed the newest thread in a specific forum, and that forum doesn't matter right now, well use forumid 3 for an example.
