vB Hack of the Month - December!!! [Archive]

Alright, the vB Hack of the Month competition is back up and running!

I've finally gotten permission from Chen to do this. This is probably going to be the last vB HOTM for vB version 2 before vB3 comes out, and the last one for 2002, so this is an important event. ;)

Rules are a bit different to previously - hopefully this new system is a bit fairer.

How it works:

1) You nominate a hack that you feel should win - you can only nominate once.

2) When the same hack gets 2 or more nominations, it goes into the poll at the top of this thread.

3) Once a hack is listed in the poll above this thread, it can start to receive votes from members.

4) When the poll reaches 7 hacks, no new nominations will be accepted.

5) The hack in the poll with the most votes wins - as easy as that (no random draws or anything like that).

6) Votes are counted until the end of November.

7) A previous HOTM winner cannot be nominated again.

8) When you nominate a hack, please include a link to the hack.

9) You are allowed to nominate your own hack.

10) The winning hack gets the HOTM logo at the top of the thread.

Start nominating now! Please don't waste your vote by voting on a blank option - :) - it will be removed.

Remember, this is the last HOTM for a vB hack for vB2... when vB3 comes out, it will be different hacks for a different vB.

May the best hack wins.

i worked hard on it to make it a very reliable and free piece of software.

btw, very good rules, alot better then the old ones. erwin, i know you will do a great job on your new function, HoTM.

Knomans hack was also very basic and also was very limited on uses. That is why i remodeled it and a lot of people like that remodel from what i noticed. I also have totaly scrapped knomans hack's coding for the rpg hack im developing.

my question is...what basis is being used to determine hack of the month.
Like the complexcity of the coding, the ease of installing and use without running into complications, the most useful and widely used?
hmm this could turn into a Olympics for coding!
So much great and innovative stuff out there with the need for a medal. ;)
