Rotating banners

Hey guys, I tried running a search for this and found nothing. What I would like to do is add something into my forums so that each time a member comes to the site or refreshes the page they get a different banner image up top. Would this be a templete modification or hack or what? Also if there is already a thread about this could you please link me ;)

Ok, I mis-spoke. What I am looking for is random logo swapping....not random ad banners......any ideas?

take the random generator code "search for it" and just modify it to change ("logo.gif") per how many times or whatever
