View Full Version : !! First Hack With 1000 Installs !!
QUICK REPLY BOX!
CONGRADULATIONS FIREFLY!
This is truly amazing, 1000 installs, and in reality over 8000 users will have installed the hack. That's just excellent, such a great hack, I say give vb.org another few years and there'll be many hacks at 1000!

Amazing especially because it can be done with just template editing and nobody seems to know that...
phpinclude?
I think turtles are brought up to like phpinclude :p

No, all you have to do is duplicate the newreply form and put it in showthread...

congratz chen :)
@fil: erwin is right, without templateconditions, you cannot port it completly into a template only version..

It surely is an amazing hack, but I had to un-install it due to excessive spam. :p
With vb3 you'll be able to do a lot of hacks here by simply using conditionals :)

Congratulations Chen!! :)
/me loves conditionals.
:) they're the best.
at least it would make a lot of things much easier, but it's also dangerous, so admins who have no acces to the php-files can also do some danger...
ok, but if they are admins, you should trust em ^^

That reminds me, I think I know a possible way for vB2 to support conditions in templates without hacking.
/me investigates...

Well that didn't work :dead:
*gg*
rewriting the gettemplatefunction in phpinclude is not the right way ;)
Hehe you try to do everything in phpinclude - no ;)?
i think jelsoft should rename phpinclude into filburtletdo ^^
they should rename phpinclude into turtleinclude :p
