Posted by Steve Machol at vBulletin.com - an update of where Jelsoft is for vB3:

I noted this line:
In addition, the beta testers are operationg under strict conditions of use, one of which is that they are not allowed to modify any of the PHP files in any way (ie: no hacking).
It would be hard to be a beta tester and have to resist hacking vB3. :)

Makes sense, though. Would be nice to see the entire TOS that the private testers have to obey.
:ermm: That's sure .... you can't hack on your "official forum" but can make modifications on your local machine, to lear new PHP code :bandit:
I hope VB3's code is not totallt different of VB2 and that great ideas and caracteristical modifications of PHP code were kept :)

It is totally different code.
Definently makes sense, as upgrading files is a likely story with the beta's. :)

Hmm, with what they have left to do, sounds like it should be out pretty soon. :)

One thing I've learned, things aren't as they always are seen. :p
Already this - nice to see them keeping us informed :)

I expect vB3 will be a few months before a stable release yet...
