This will insert an apropriate usernote into someone's history when they're banned, or unbanned.

You may want to make the Find Replace, add above stuff stand out more so people dont miss it.

Is a standard note added or you can write it yourself? I get some annoying users who constantly re-sign up to abuse other members, it's easier to keep them under contreol if I can keep notes on their grammar, writing style, ISP, IP's e.t.c. for future reference.

Title is automatically filled in as apropriate. The reason (which is netered when banning or unbanning) goes into the body of the usernote.

I'm using it. The only problem is when you ban someone they no longer show on the memberlist for you to be able to view their usernotes until you unban them... unless one customised that setting of course.

Could this be extended? This would be really useful for tracking members. For example if a moderator deletes a user's post or edits it a note could be inserted with the title/content of the post quoted and the reason of the edit.

When I ban people they always email me asking why they were banned and for how long since they can't access their account any more. It would be cool to have a part in here that would send a reason to the user via email so they would know what's going on and when they were allowed back in.

Nice hack, but what I dont understand is where the notes can be viewed. Can banning.php be modified such that when you view the listed of banned users through the modcp that a column is added to the table including the reason why that person was banned?

Thanks

The Wolverine :D
