Ill try to raise the time between healths in the next few days. It appears they follow a pattern, ill try to take a look at that also.

Cool, thanks :) Yeah, they follow a pattern and it's too slow and not gaining speed in time so the game is lasting infinitely long unless you stop shooting of course.

edit: I had the same complaint about the game Breakout.

If the pattern could be broken, the damage of the enemy raised in time, or their numbers raised it'd be great. The first time I played I died. The second time I was going in the 10000's of points while as mentioned, gaining more and more life.

It'd have been especially neat if there were levels and a boss to it, but I understand that involves more work than is needed/wanted.

I can confirm djohn's list. Although kickups and minikickups was 1 release, hence there are 44 game releases (plus the 5 in the orig arcade).

Read the instructions in the game... It tells you why it scores the way it does.

But i had to change the Score Calculation because
v3 Arcade display the HIGH score...
so i created a variable:

arcade_score = 118 - Your_Final_Score ; }
else { arcade_score = 0 ; }

(this way you Can't have a negative score,
and it reverses the score system)

You start with 118 as your arcade Score,
and you start "decreasing" your score.

i read the posts and everything seems to be running fine

Then,... the Best Arcade_Score will be:
118 - 18 = 100

if you have a bad Golf_score, lets say... 90 strokes
your arcade score will be:
118 - 90 = 38 (a low arcade score)

the game submits a "0" arcade_score (not a negative score)

Right, and I understand that, but some of the scores are getting submitted wrong, and not as a zero. Take a look at the orginal post I made with the link to the thread on my forum. If you look at the arcade you'll see the top 2 scores are 174 and 154. Obviously something happened where the scores weren't calculated properly. If you ask me, I'd say it's a bug. Others are working proplery, though... as when I tested it worked as advertised.

As noted in another thread, Opera downloads them fine. Opera without Java is 3.7 megs if you want it badly. http://www.opera.com

anyway, i modified the way the game calculate & registers the arcade_score,
and now.. is calculated this way:

arcade_score = 180 - Your_Final_Score

if you have scores greaters than 100 (right now),
then you should delete them.
Now the HIGH Score is:
180 - 18 = 162

I love Duck Hunt but there seems to be a problem with the sound which wasn't in the 'original' flash I think. When you shoot twice you'll only hear one blast.

Yeah there is also some errored animations in Duck Hunt.. sometime the Birds Flicker and the Dog Disappears. And yes the Sound is missing as well in the majority of the file. But hey it works and im happy with it.

There is a cheat/bug with Maeda path -- if you pull the mouse out of the game window by moving it to the left after triggering the blue circle, then move it around the outside of the game area/board (the active "window" part where you play the game) without re-entering the game area until the mouse is at the right side, you can then just wait until the "end of level" circle appears, re-enter the game area from the right, trigger the end of level circle and go to the next level.

I hope that this can be fixed.

You get 500/1000 points when you hit the enemies
but you lost 250 points at each shot (shuriken)

You wont make much points at first levels
if you miss a lot, but after you pass the level 6
(when a LOT of ninjas comes out) you'll start to make big points

hence if you're using your ninja a a machine gun star thrower, then yes, your points will drop so much that you won't ever get above 0 points ;)

About the language i agree, please make english default (and i think you can just remove the spain selection box as well, if possible)

After ugrading to Gold I get the following msg when clicking on the Arcade link:

I also get a msg saying I don't have permission to access the page and, finally, all arcade options are gone from ACP.

What is the proper procedure to restore the arcade after an upgrade? Thanks.

There were 5 in the hack and 52 releases (counting all swf's in 1 zip file as one release, so kickups and minikickups is 1 release, same goes for tie shooter and creepy tie shooter, or the diff kenny knifes swf's and a few more), so a total of 57 (latest is bowling).

Correction! It works as long as my server isn't under heavy use. The key to seeing if the high score will work is if your user name auto populates the nickname field at the start.

I have installed most of the hack, I followed the directions step by step no problem. When I got to the part about running "install_arcade.php" I did and the screen came up with 17 pages for "stuff". The instructions before said follow each step but I have no idea what they are?

I have installed several hack with no problem but I am still very new at this. The link on the main page is there but will not work because I'm stuck (www.skaterscafe.com) but I'm stuck.

It will be very hard for them to get the same score, as the score is based on the time taken to complete each level. The chances of users completing all the levels and getting the same score are fairly slim.

of the game... because you always can try to improve your record (best time)

The score will be LOWER.
The scoring points have been changes by a factor 10
An average hit used to be like 2000 points but it's about 200 points now, so in order to pass the old highscore of 3000+ (forgot what it was excactly) you need to hit 600 EACH time and i don't think that's possible (haven't tried it that much but i doubt 600 is doable)

So you need to empty the old scores if you're gonna rename this one. Prolly easier to just delete the old one from the db and install the new one fresh.

How would I change the top scores on the arcade home to be weekly instead of all time? I also want to change the default high score page to go to weekly instead of all time. The reason for this is that I do not wish to prune scores, but some scores are getting out of hand, and I don't want the same person to hold the title forever. I want to make it so the weekly high scores are what shows up everywhere, but the all time scores can still be accessed. Any ideas?

Well... You know the drill...

It's kinda crappy, but it's Joust nonetheless. As you can see in the screenshot, this game doesn't really fit in the table of the default style, but the game doesn't look good at sizes smaller than that due to the scanline effect that it's got.

I've found a few bugs.

It's easy for the mounts to get stuck in the top of the screen. And if the enemies go into the lava they disappear and the game never ends.

Usually they are removed because the creator and copyright holder has requested it, thus making it illegal to have on your board....something tells me that alchemy isn't legal either....
