What is this?

The Special Post Count is a funny hack. You can add a special counter for determined forums (example: offtopic).
Only the posts mades in that forum counts to the special counter and the default counter not have any change

This hack are originally made by Dpcows

I only made a re adaptation for vb3 :D

I made the hack using the Hack Tracking Log
and also a experimental version with text file

any bug find, problem installing, or something else are welcome

-fixed again the sql queries, now work in the last vbulletin versions
(Not vbulletin 3.5)

-fixed the xml sintax in spc_settings.xml in intall htl

If you try in the past this hack and not work, the sql queries remain in the database. For fix this problem, only ejecute this queries

in this version the counter start in 0
but i view the possibilities of add a option for count all posts made in x forum and add that amount to the extra counter

Can anyone make this work with the promotions system? That way, you could create a new forum, or choose a forum every month and designate that forum to have this "special post count" ................then run a promotion, where anyone who has x amount of posts in that section gets.........whatever.

I'd like to use this to encourage people to post on dormant sections of the board...........and other applications.

check your database and the new insert, I had the same problem but I lloked other values and I know the error, You have to insert values manually

i think install intruction for this hack is not completed... what should we do with files .xml and a file .htl ??? i installed as instruction and i oper the Special Count in AdminCP and i see no thing !!!
