What this does
This will hide information from a user untill that user replys to your thread. If user has not replied to your thread, he/she will see a message to do so, if user is guest they will see nothing. If user has posted a reply, then they will see the lockdown information posted.

I figured i would go ahead and release it since its okay to release now. :squareeyed:

Just a quick observation - I haven't installed it so I may be wrong- but wouldn't they be able to view it via the archive without having to post ?

Logikos
23 May 2005, 18:29
No, the archive contains no information about whats hidden.

Wasn't this released after the ban was lifted? Or is this just a 3.0.7 update?

Hello all I installed it, but I think I screwed something up...... but I dont know where.....
When I Click New Thread In Additional Options
instead of the lockdown options like in the screen shots I get this:

"//LockDownHack //LockDownHack"
No options to click and instert things......:( just this text.....)

I think I did mess up something... Can someone please try and help me figure out where I went wrong.....
The install process went all ok I have checked my file and templates edits....

Logikos
26 May 2005, 08:05
You will have to redo your template edits. Its always smart to copy your template to a text file before installing a template change.

I have re-checked my templates edits I added a //Lockdown before and after to find the hack I now have removed it but not even the lockdown bit dissapeared..... I can see it ok in the forumcp permissions have enabled it....
But when I do new thread I dont see the option... to insert lockdown...
Thanks for the help

Have you chosen which forum is lockdown? http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=26493

bellaboz

I have marked the forum as Lockdown active but lockdown option does not appear when I click new tread inside the forum.....
I only see the "normal" options.... not the lockdown part

When I got to a "lockedown" forum I see:
.:: LockDown v ::.
megaboz has included a secure ftp. Please reply to view the details.

even though I have not included anything since I dont see the lockdon boxes....
And if I go to the AdminCp and I remove the "lockedown" part to a forum I still see after:

.:: LockDown v ::.
FireStarter has included a secure ftp. Please reply to view the details.

I really dont know what I did wrong...

1. Does this support BBcode?
2. Anyone have this mod and "prevent double posting" install and have no problems?

lucino, you did not run the SQL query as instructed`

First thanks for your reply! Okey I did it .... but I got this error :

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'lockdowninstall.php' at line 1

I also activate lockdown in one forum and I got this display message at my vBulletin Admincp:

Invalid Title Specified

I still want to have this hack and I dont want to give up... that is why I am here again asking for your help to resolve this error. Thanks in advance!

So... People would just spam your board then to see the info? What's the point?

How come I can only see blank boxes after I post and in the add new thread page their are no options to add hidden information.

Yeah, Dark has a point. I've seen hacks similar to this on many other boards, the majority of the time most members won't take the time to write a meaningful post. They just want to see the damn information that you've so annoyingly hidden from them... so they'll just post something quick, meaningless, and would more than likely be considered spam.
