Why doesn't it have the "most users ever online on a day" that the one for 3.0.x had? :(Um, this has never had such a feature, in any version.

Perhaps you are thinking of another 3.0.x hack of mine (this (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81167) ?)

Thank you for your comments. :)

Since the final release of 3.5 Gold I have been working on updating most of my hacks (largely to convert them to products).

I will be updating this hack from a 'Plugin' to a 'Product' very shortly which will mean ;

* The hack will become phrased.
* The ability to turn it on/off in the ACP.
* The ability to allow only certain usergroups to view the list will be an ACP option.
* The switch between Visited Today and Rolling 24 Hours will become an ACP option (many seem to miss this actually exists).

If you are happy with it working as is - then obviously there will be no requirement to upgrade - I will still support the old version (though I will strongly urge you to upgrade in most cases). If you wish to upgrade then you will need to delete the existing plugin, upload the new product, and replace the template code with the new version.

Sorry Slacker, not much chance of that in the forseeable future.
Actually I figured it out anyway. w00t! :D

Here's how I did it if anyone is curious:

First, I created a Single-Selection Menu profile field with "Yes" and "No" as the two options, defaulting to "Yes."

Then I changed Paul's conditional to use the new option. In my case, the system called it field10.

Original is:

Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.
---------------

I changed it to:

Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.
---------------

Works like a charm. :)

I have it set to display as long as the profile field I created isn't set to "No." That makes it display for those who are set to "Yes" and for unregistered visitors.

How would I go about increasing this to count all the users who visited in the last 48 hours??You would edit the plugin & edit the appropiate phrase. The times when you hover over a person would become a bit meaninless so maybe edit them as well to add the date. If your not confident enough in your programming skills to do this then I suggest you leave it as is.

Thanks for checking it out Ncturnal. I've cleared the cache in IE, logged out and back in again but it still does not appear in IE (version 6 on XP SP2) once logged in. But if it can be seen by you then I'm at a loss! I've got another forum member checking it too as they had the same problem.

There is only one style so I can rule that out too

Version 4.10 uploaded.

This version removes the need to edit the FORUMHOME template.

To upgrade from version 3.xx to version 4.10 you need to delete the existing plugin and remove the template code in FORUMHOME - then upload the new product. To upgrade from version 4.xx to version 4.10 you need to uninstall the product and remove the template code in FORUMHOME - then upload the new product.

* An add-on to display a 'Most ever posters' count is also available here (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=98887).

edit: the template is Display_Visitors

To quickly place the template where you want simply remove <!-- end logged-in users --> from where it currently is... put <!-- end logged-in users --> where you want this hacks informations to be placed because it uses <!-- end logged-in users --> in order to know where to put it... Great hack!

I, too, had used an old hack to only display the number. Rather than use the instructions above, I did this... It just seemed simpler to me for what I was trying to accomplish.

1. I added $whodesc $totaltoday to the FORUMHOME template.

2. I opened the Display_Visitors template, and commented it out:
<!-- after <!-- who has visited -->
and
--> before <!-- end who has visited -->

Working well, thanks Paul. :)

I was wondering where I can change the phrase; "Total members that have visited the forum today." so that I can replace it with something I'd prefer.
Edit it in the ACP Phrase Manager, the phrase is called 'visited_today'.

This is great.

But one question. Is it possible to have the table collapsed as default? So that the members have to click on the expand button to see all the usernames. Because when you have 500+ members that have visited, the table is very very long. Any way to do this? Thanks

How to do that is in the thread - That's the way I have it set up (collapsed) - But I can't remember the specific post it is in.

I think this is the code for the forumhome template:

Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.
---------------

I think this is the code for the forumhome template: [code]There is no longer any code in the forumhome template. You need to make a couple of edits to the "Display_Visitors" template. I posted them somewhere, I'll see if i can find the post later.

OK - Sorry, hadn't noticed it was updated - I'm using the old version and it works fine so no need for me to update.
