This is a plugin that shows what the user was last playing in Winamp underneath their posts and when the data was last updated. Follow the instructions in install.txt in the zip file.
This does not modify any files, but does modify the postbit template.
Enjoy. :)

There'd have to be a plugin or feature that submits a URL with the song name for those to work. I don't know of any, but I haven't looked either.

Doesn't appear to work on localhost, everytime you run winamp, the plugin has reverted so no actions are shown. Using winamp 5.0.9.

this would be great if this can detect both WMP and Winamp since I use WMP all the time.
@Link this you check the WMP SDK ?

I don't make the plugins, I just make the PHP code that makes the plugins useful. :p

Did you install it with Winamp closed? If you didn't, then restart Winamp. ;)

So is the plugin problem isolated to people testing vbulletin 3.5 on their local machines?

You have to change a few things if field6 is already used in userfield table.
I can't find the
Admin CP -> Plugin System -> Download/Upload Plugins
oh I guess this mod won't work on 3.0.7 :(
it seems tha the plugin system is only in 3.5
can it work on 3.0.7 ?

I've followed the steps exactly yet nothing is showing up?
A suggestion to Link:
It should be entirely possible to remove the need to "add a field" to the user table, and just add one to the profile field table now that a bug i reported allows the dm_user class to access to private/uneditable profile fields.
Saves a field, i guess :) (and allows for more complicated storage like song title, song album, song artist, song length, and so on.)
:)

is link still around?
there has to be a way to get this working for iTunes and WMP... MSN messenger can show 'what's i'm listening to' coz WMP and iTunes...
This is great, but I don't think winamp is used all that much now as iTunes and since WMP is integrated so well with windows...
