Lock Post Moderation v1

[Zero Tolerance]

Additional Functionality: If a user tries to edit a locked post via AJAX and doesn't have permission, message is changed to bold red text informing them they don't have permission as the post is locked (the post is not changed to that permanantly, just as an error display).

A slight improvement would be if there was a way to create a "Quick Lock this Post" feature which shows in the postbit, and toggles the Locked/Unlocked status ;)

Uhh, i was just porting a few of my minor hacks so i could get used to the vB 3.5 set up :p But i'll look into it :)

Just a tad template quirk that I found, the "Lock Post" button is larger than the other vB posting buttons...

In the editpost_lockpost template, change:

This will make the "Lock Post" submit button the same size as the other vB posting buttons ;)

This hack can lock post from quote ? For some reason, I don't want to show the text (with some bbcode) to other member

Anychance for an update on this hack?

Maybe the options so we can set you can lock the posts, some admins may only want admins or smods and admins or choose which user id can lock posts if we want only certain mods etc.

Not working in 3.8.3 sadly.

I was able to lock the post by adding:

to the template, however I was able to edit the post still (as the user) using the Ajax edit, normal edit was locked but obviously no use as most will use Ajax these days.
