port of [vB 3.0.3] Prohibit Users from Rating Own Threads. (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73626)

Upload the plug-in, activate it and add the following phrase:

Phrase Type: Front-end Error Messages (or Error Messages)
Varname: cantvoteforown
Text: Sorry, but you can't rate your own threads.


works with: beta 1, beta 2, beta 3, beta 4

Well, I couldn't find "Front-end Error Messages," but I did find "Error Messages." I assume that it would work there too.

Yes - Error Messages is the new phrase for Front-end Error Messages

For some reason those who upgrade to vB 3.5.0 Beta 1 from 3.0.7 or earlier retain the old phrase, as opposed to those who fresh install the board...

The displayname of the Phrasegroup don't get overwritten on an upgrade.

anyone got a query that will remove all ratings done by thread authors? is such a thing possible?

Working with RC1. I suppose a template edit is possible to stop the rate thread option appearing at all on your own threads which would combine with this. I'll have a look at it.

Here's a product file that has the phrase it in now. You no longer have to manually add the phrase.
