This little mod will "flash" the quick reply postbit upon posting of the user message.

I checked this out and it flashes the reply after you post. Whats the point of that? Now if it would flash the Quick Reply button before it is clicked, that might be worth something.

It isn't a requirement that you find it useful. Personally, I find the postbit popping on the screen to be be nicer with the flash.

I wasnt trying to be a jerk. I am honestly curious. No offense meant.
What's the Beta 1 and Beta 2? I just checked on vBulletin.com, there's no vBulletin secondary Beta release for 3.5.0. Also, you may want to add that the vbulletin_quickreply.js file is located in the clientscript folder. By the way, nice mod. :)
Oh wow...candy! :)
Installed and working perfectly.

I just gave the instructions for beta 2 to save having to do it later. Remember, I do have access to it ;)
Oh that's right, you're a developer. lol, sorry about that... I missed the user title! :p

Well a lot of teh current vB developers have been active as hackers first.
Yeah, by the way... any word on when Beta 2 will be released to the public?
Edit: Nevermind, just looked on vBulletin.com and it's already been released. God... I love vBulletin.
New Question: Any idea when the stable release of vB 3.5.0 will be out? :squareeyed:

Hi
I installed this because I have no Idea what this should do and I still donīt.
There is nothing happening.
I used the quickreply (after a hard refresh) and nothing happens except normal post of the quickreply.
I use the standart editor.
What should happen?

After your press Submit, the page will refresh and the new post being added will flash a yellowish color. It's pretty obvious what it does, so if you're not seeing it, I'd say you did something wrong.

my mistake :D
Missed the change to beta2 ;)

I just installed it, awww...ooooo....purdy. :)
One thing though, my test buddy and I noticed the post count for all previous posts don't refresh until we reload the page. Not a problem, I don't keep track of mine, but it's something we noticed.
Here's the bottom code for a dark grey fade in.
Thanks for the mod freddie. :)
Code:

Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.

Well this did work for me in Beta 1, and I'm sure that I am able to follow a simple find and add after instruction...
This simply will not fade the post once it has been submitted - Either that or it's doing it at breakneck speed...
Yes, I'm running Beta 2 - Yes all the templates have been updated to Beta 2, and Yes, I have edited vbulletin_quick_reply.js, added the specified code, uploaded it and hard-refreshed just to be sure...
Any explanations?
Satan
Working fine here.. It's a bit slow but I can modify it ;)
