Another bg img question

Hey, how can I change the "page background color" to be an image?

SS will show exactly what I'm talking about..


I tried adding "{imagesfolder}/image.gif" instead of the html color code, but it just showed up being blue.

Also, when it's a bg img I'd like to know how to make it not repeat..

Go into your CP - Style - Font/colors/etc. Then find the body tag box on that page. Add a background="" tag inside it and the url inbetween.

Okay..

Now it changed the bg to red.. :confused:

EDIT: Sorry, I misread your post..
It's not the body tag I want it in.. it's the page bg color. The arrow points to what I mean in the SS..

I think what he meant, was that he had

bgcolor="{imagesfolder}/image.gif"

but what he should have had was:

background="{imagesfolder}/image.gif"

haha.. yes.
I didn't know that this was in the header template. I thought you could only edit it where you edit all the colors for the style.

Anyways, I got it to work, but when I view threads the bg image stops repeating (example in screen shot). Any way of fixing this?

Thats a known problem, so far the only fix we've got is to add the bg in every template which would take you a very long time.

Well.. what I have now seems to be working for all the templates except when you view a thread..

SO maybe that's the only one I'll have to edit..

I'll mess around with it a bit..

Add it into the showthread then, and that should fix it. (Edit the BODY tag in showthread template)
