Credits: Tungstens welcome panel v3.5 I borrowed some snippit code :) thanks

This is a simple little mod I came up with to insert an avatar into the navbar next to the private messages.

It's a simple 2 minute mod. Sorry no screenshot, I am still at work, I will post one when I get home.

Yes I kinda noticed it's attractiveness depends on what size Avatars you let users upload.

Think I'm gonna work on a welcome panel mod here.

I made a small mode that makes it slighly more attractive. I just changed it 2 things in your code and now it's looks a little better.

I made one other change - in the NAVBAR section of the instructions.

Change this:

Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.
---------------

to this:

Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.
---------------

It looks more streamlined now.

can you create a test account/user so we can see please?I guess I never thought of that. I've gotta quit staying up so late. Here's a screen cap.

You should have size adjustments so you don't have to limit the avatar size. So on the posts they can be lager.

Been trying to figure that out myself. I have tried adding a height but it keeps breaking out. I like 100x100 as my avatar size but it makes the top look goofy. I might move it all into a box. hmm....

I couldnt get it to size correctly at the top so I ended up going ahead and creating an extra side bar box for it. I am new at the conditionals but I made a "Please Register" avatar for folks not logged in.

This was a great idea, thanks alot for the help,

I have toyed with this a lot and can't seem to get it to work with vbadvanced. also, vbadvanced has a welcome block that shows the avatar without the use of an additional query I don't think, but i wasn't able to use that code. is the query in php include neccessary? I thought hte avatar was already pulled at the forumhome?
