I think it just the default graphics matte'd for black (or just dark?) backgrounds.

They don't appear to be transparent..... bummer, cause this is exactly what I need....

Any ideas on how to modify the images so they'll look better on a dark, but not black, board? I do have photoshop at work, but I am a complete photoshop klutz....

If you download the GDK, you can edit them easier ;)

I'm crap with photoshop too. I basically just annoy someone who is skilled in photoshop to do it for me. But yeah, it does take a while AFAIK.
