Free dark skin

I decided to be very generous and give away a skin I paid quite alot for. I have no need for it as the site is closing soon and being pushed into my newer one.

Now all I ask is that you keep the copyright notice on the skin.

It has custom post bit!

It is a great skin. I d/l it and am trying to install it but I am VB stupid. I uploaded it as per instructions but when you go to the page the skin does not show even after I unchecked the default template.

I am missing something small....do you know what it may be?

Have you tried logging out of the forum then back in? that normally works. Or is it not showing in the admin area?

It is showing in the admin area, and I can even click on the name and then the forum shows up with the skin. But if you just come to my site from a pc that does not have the page cached it just shows the default skin.

Try turning allow users to change style off.

I couldn't get it working at all. Would be nice if it was released without all these custom vba templates/hacks installed.

OK I have it downloaded but now Im putting back the old template why. Because I see alot of red x's in the smilies. Actually any icon its a red x how can that be fixed. Thanks a ton!

Upload the folder called new into your forums folder.

So instead of being www.sccollectors.com/forums/image..... it is www.sccollectors.com/image..... It leaves out the /forums part making all the links not work and the images not to work unless I put them in both / and forums/ Thanks

You would need to edit all the changes files in the admin area and hardcode the urls in.

Login to your ftp web hosting account. Download the skin file and open the file and you will see a folder called new inside. Upload the folder called new into your web hosting directory where your forum is.

The style does no changes like that, you must have some different error. This just changes the styles no database changes.

I found the problem in the xml file causing my db errors and corrected it. This is an awesome style and it is very cool of you to release it to us and support it! I have one more question. Is there an easy way to get it to work with vba? The header images don't display on the cmps pages.

You would have to edit all templates and replace the image urls from this for example:

/new/images/image27.jpg to http://www.yourdomain.com/new/images/image27.jpg

This is a great skin, but I do have one question.

I've looked, and perhaps I've missed it, but how do you access the admin panel from the skin? My other skin has a set of options on the footer for admin, contact, etc..............but it does not show on this skin? I've tried making it a child forum to see if it would help, but no luck.

Any ideas?

You'd have to add that link in the footer, I will do it when I get time on the next few changes. To get in admin just use yourdomain.com/admincp.

Thanks. I can still access the admin through the original skin. I do however need to back in through my usercp to get there. The style selector won't show either.

Same issue with me, the style selector wont show and everytime I go into add it myself, I get an error message saying you are not allowed to remove the vbulletin copyright even tho I'm not removing the copyright.

I am getting this same error, have any idea what you had to fix in xml file? I haven't modified anything and using the latest version of vbulletin

I just upgraded to vBadvanced 2.x the day before I installed your style, i'm wondering if there is a conflict with something new.

My users really like this style too. :(
