Read the thread. There are plenty of bugs. FWIW, I uninstalled it and my recommendation is not to install it.

Why is this thread still alive? If anyone has actually read the thread, they would know that UShop will NEVER be released.... the author has publically said so.... he has abandoned the project... it's dead.... it has ceased to be... it is an ex plugin!

Actually if you had read the thread and then followed the link to the other thread you would know that uCash and uShop is still under development by Zachery, and some other people have offered to contibute to helpping with the project.

Duh!! Use the thread search. :rolleyes: Searching will always provide you with alot faster answer then waiting on questions that have been answered numerous times that most people proabbly just ignore due to that fact.

There are a few bugs...search, secondly, yes it works in 3.5.2.

I just installed ucash and totally f'd up my forum. I tried getting support at vB but Steve said he cant help with modified forums.

After I uploaded this is what I got at my forum:

What Steve could tell me is:

To troubleshoot this, remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.

If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

Next, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

And then I asked:

Would it be okay if I didnt remove all (too many to count) hacks and take this opportunity to upgrade to the new 3.5.2 as long as I back up my database? Would doing this overwrite the hacks for me? I dont care about loosing them, just trying to avoid having to retrace my steps for the past two months.

This is not a uCash problem.

uCash does not support 3rd party addons such as the "Ultra Itemshop".

Please seek support in their release thread.

with one post only i can get the max number of points for a post with just typing 1 line

Is this a generic hook for anyone to use or is this hook specific to uCash? If it is a generic hook how does the program know what code to run here if there are multiple things using the hook?
I also do not know how to change the code for uCash.

I'm afraid I am far too unwell to explain the entire vBulletin Hook system at the moment.

Basically, it was introduced with vB 3.5.x (the version that recently came out, replacing 3.0.x), allowing coders to make 'hacks' that did not require code modifications.

Effectively, the php file is run, then when it comes to a 'hook' in the code, it looks in the database to see if anything additional is in that hook.

By doing what you suggest, the php file will not look for that hook if the post is being Previewed. You need to go to the hook in your Plugin Manager and add the conditional you added to the php file in the hook for Ucash.

I am not sure. I know some group has taken over uShop so I would think they will control uCash also.

hopefully they will work on this a bit more as well, its got several bugs that could be fixed. But for most its working fine. I'm going to do a complete re install of this because several users are getting heaps of points when they have only a few posts.

I am in the midst of porting a custom made Item Shop hack to 3.5. Since this hack seems to be buggy I am sure I will be fixing these as I go. I am more than competent in php coding and vbulletin.

I'll be starting my own "Ushop" shortly afterwards although the actions will be limited to donate/admindonate/bank/bold/underline/italicise.

I may release it, I may not. Will see how it goes...

We are charging people to post in a certain forum. if they do not have enough points we have to delete the post and then manually add the points back. If a post gets deleted it is for a reason. We have never pruned. Wouldn't pruning be a different process also?
