Well, here's half of the uCS combination - a standalone release of uCash for vB 3.5.

uCash 1.1.1 for vBulletin 3.5 RC1 is out. This will only work on 3.5.0 RC1 or above. It now has 12 plugins and no file edits. See readme_ucash.txt in the attached file.

uCash 1.1.1 uses the Product Manager and includes a new feature that gives all the users of a usergroup (usergroup setting) x points every y amount of time (via cron).

Also included is a "Give Points In Mass" feature inside the uCash Manager. Screenshots of this have been shown at area51.geekydesigns.com, and it makes it into uCash 1.1.0. A screenshot of that feature is attached.

uCash 1.1.1 needs no file edits and 2 template edits. It uses 12 plugins.

Enjoy this release. Read readme.txt for instructions on installing. Click install if you install this hack. :)

Support will be given in the uCash & uShop support forum (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=100) - just make sure you mention that you are using uCash 1.1.1 for vB 3.5. :)

Working fine. FYI, something to consider... With this new addition of "Per Character" points, you may want to try and integrate it with the AJAX system and editing.

Example:
User posts a topic. Then edits the topic within the timeframe allowed. The points should be tabulated after an edit, to add/subtract the amount of the point change in the difference between the initial post and the edit.

I'm not quite sure how you would do this, but it would be something to consider.

Well, that is just the installer. Oh well, it was mostly a rush job on porting the HIS over and adding the plugin step. ;)

I'll probably fix that tommorow and then upgrade Area51 and try getting uShop 1.0.0 ported. I'll probably not add as many features as planned in 1.0.0 and follow it up with a 1.1.0 or 1.2.0 or something later. It's been too long anyways. ;)

And hopefully hooks have been added to the admincp in beta 3 so I don't need to hack the files at all.

Yes, it detects you are using uCash 1.0.0 (from uCS 0.93 or 0.95) and changes the database fields and setting varnames appropriately.

uShop will probably be out in some form in a few weeks.

Since this is a 3.5 modification, you can not install it on 3.0.x.

There is however also a version for 3.0.x, check the appropriate forum for that.

I like the simplicity/economics of the uCash system, so the next P3tz release will work with uCash. I guess I'll just use v1.1.0 and use the new acp hooks rather than file edits.

Its all working for me, I installed fast and easy, set up options then forum options. Mass gave points with 100 credit, plus 5 points a post and it all worked as should.

If you edit a user in the Admin CP, you have the option of altering their point total (it's under the profile fields).

Edit the phrases ucs_points and ucs_points_lower in your Phrase Manager. (Use the search function in your admincp to find them.)

I have the same error that fpouk is having.. in my case for what I have been able to diagnose, the alter scripts weren't able to run.. the weird thing in my case I upgraded from .93c I believe, I still see the settings in the dropdown menu in general settings but I can't see the fields in the user table per se for it, so prolly the install scripts gets messed up in that part. any way to force a fresh installation?

It is. uCash doesn't have complete donation options because before this release, it was always tied to uShop which has plenty of donation actions. I'll probably implement built-in donation that sends to uShop actions if it is installed.

BTW, I'm working on the installation part of the uShop product. I will say this though: don't install it outside a test board. Seriously, I know there are going to be bugs. I won't even allow it to be installed on boards that have had uShop 0.9x installed, there will be no upgrade.

Installed this mod so far so good, BUT when you delete a users post that was spam etc... they keep there points anyways to automatically have the points deducted than!??

SUch A dork I read the entire post.. Three thing this mod needs

#1 Deduct by clicking on users points field in posts much easier for admins on large forums.

#2. Quotes I also have a forum with LOTS of quotes. Please fix this as users points can get WAY outta control quoting a huge article.

#3. Max Points per post regardless of points per character which I use.

I heard a lot about uCash, so I installed it, but I'm confused about it's functionality. I wanted the members to get points based on number of posts & thread they have posted. But it doesn't seem to work. Most of the new membres have high points, and people who posted more than 1000 posts have lessor points. Can some one explain me, why this happens?

If a person Starts a Thread, he will get 10 points. If a person replies on any thread he will get 2 points.

If possible I want to increase and decrease the points based on the forums. Some forums Thread starting 20 points, reply 5 points.

Points based on forums no, though you can select which forms give points for posts.

I found out that %points and no points for quotes are implemented in this version you have to go to vbulletin options and select message posting and editing options. In there you can select more features of the Ucash system. Im sure somewhere else there are more options also..

Setting this option to 'YES' will cause the system to not count words in [QUOTE] tags towards the total number of characters posted.

When I go into the Scheduled Tasks manager and tyr to execute uCash, I get this error:

If I am correct there hsould be some sort of uCash option in the User CP right? I don't see that. The apropriate XML file called "cpnav_ucash" uploaded to the \includes\xml DIR. I tried to upload it in the plug in manager but it only apears as an empty plug in. No Name,No Description...nothing.


What should i do?

If I am correct there hsould be some sort of uCash option in the User CP right? I don't see that. The apropriate XML file called "cpnav_ucash" uploaded to the \includes\xml DIR. I tried to upload it in the plug in manager but it only apears as an empty plug in. No Name,No Description...nothing.


What should i do?

Aprently this was due to a bug in the RC2 software. Problem fixed.

I just upgraded from vb 3.0.8 -> 3.0.9 -> 3.5.0 RC3 I had ucash and ushop installed what are the steps to upgrade or do I have to start all over again
If this has been covered all ready I am sory Just have about 15 hacks to get back up and running on vb 3.5rc3 and My time is limited

EDIT:If your upgrading form 3.0.9 just read the instructions in the read me file. You wiull ikley have to start over and ushop is not released yet.

Any news on the shop? My users are getting annoyed "what use are points without anything to spend them on??!" I keep saying "well gather them up, and soon you will be able to spend em all", except "soon" I thought would be in July as you had said, now it's september 19th and we have no news on uShop.

I don't mind waiting. I really really really don't. I do mind lying to my users. So give us, an estimate, and if you're wrong, you're wrong, and I'll forgive you, but please just give us some sort of date.

As you can see, Area 51 is now running vBulletin 3.5.0. uShop will not be running here until it is ported over. Pieces of it should return when they have been moved over. For right now, uCash 1.1.0 is running. I am going to upgrade that to uCash 1.2.0 (the one that was running here on vB 3.0.7) with the forum bank and attachment features soon, followed by bits and pieces of uShop. Eventually, uShop will be running here in all its previous glory, followed by some more changes to it and a release.

So doesn;t this mean we should be waiting for uCash 1.2.0 before uShop?

One question though... is there any way to globally set all of my current users' accounts to a minimum amount? I had ucash/ushop on my old board and I'd like to give all active users 100 points to start out.

If you haen ot exited the Admin CP do so. Then log back in. This is only needed if you do not see a menu for uCash on the left.

Select uCash manager. Fine the setting that says "Give $ In Mass" or something like this.

Set this to the minimum amount of time (in seconds) before usergroups get their paychecks. Adjust the scheduled task entry accoridingly, if necessary.

It is the amount of seconds between pay checks.

What purpose do the paychecks serve? The points system seems to upgrade the points as soon as a post is read or made. Will members lose points which are shown if a paycheck is sent, or does it reset anything?

You need to import product_ucash.xml: Admin CP > Plugin System > Manage Products > Add/Import Product.

I did this, but my board look the same as before. I see now on my userprofile, that i have 38000 points, but what else can i do now? Is this all? Can't i see something into the "bank"? Can't i do something with my points? Or does the game begin when ushop is out?

You need to wait for the uShop half of this feature as you guessed. Right now it's a stand-alone money system. uShop is running somewhat late...

On vB 3.0 it was an all-in-one 'uShop & uCash'.

Ahhh, thanks :) I have edited the correct postbit, but i maybe was a bit blind. The points are there, but badly formatted for german currency. Now i have 12,020.50 points. 12.020,50 would be correct here. Slowly i understand ;)

There looks to be a bug in this. If you give points for thread views. Even the person that made the thread view can keep refreshing between two threads he made and gain points that way. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean. Go to a thread you've made and paste another URL of another thread you've made, then go back and forth like ten times and you can see your points go up.

OK it has no changes to the nav bar. It's just to award members with point/cyber cash. You do it all from the admincp. It's just something to use till uShop comes out. or you can use it with vBookie until then.

I agree. I had uCash installed for a while on 3.5X, but eventually had to remove it, when there was nothing they could do with their points... Now my members are all complaining about their points gone, and then complaining about not having the shop, since I told them it was anticipated to be released MONTHS ago.

Some of us want the hack, Some need the hack, some of us have nonfunctional 3.5, and some will never use 3.5 without uShop inside.

I just installed ucash 1.1.1 on vBulletin 3.5.0
Looks like there is a bug in the current ucash.

I set the minimum time between two consecutive postings to 60 seconds.
So a member cannot post twice within one minute.

Under this setting, if a member tries to post repeatedly within one minute,
he gets error messages saying that he posts too quickly, and none of
his posting makes thru.
But the odd thing is his cash$ keeps incremented with such failed posting!!!

Is there a fix about this problem already?

I agree it was a good mod (eventhough I never got to use it since I purchased VB at 3.5), just seems like it's beating a dead horse to me though. Author isn't even responding.

I think best bet would be to try to get some other developers to make something like this.

Even if this guy did come back I doubt I'd use it. Not to knock him or anything cause I have a busy life myself and it's about to get worse, but I wouldn't want to get my members use to it only to later be in the same situation as many of you are now.

Somebody here has to be able to make something like this though.

Then when the shop (or other points mods) get released I'll put them back and they'll have something to spend.

I have a childrens/teen forum for girls. In here the girls rent "shops" where they sell everything from graphics to webdesign and cartoon dolls to other members. I don't understand why some of you find it so hard to understand why some of us really need this hack and keeps on pestering about it.

We have to adopt this path:

1.To contact him and ask for advise. This should take no more than one week.
- If there is a positive answer Then we'll wait.
- If he asks for compensation Then he will get it.
- - ELSE // If there is no answer Then
- - goto 2.

2. Contact vB.org staff and ask to declaire 'abandoned'.
- If they do Then another guy will be assigned.
- If they don't (within a reasonable time) Then goto 3.

3. We'll get organized and assign a coder.
- If he asks for money Then he'll get it.
- If he won't Then we'll all bless him.

Umm ok...but it says Squall hasnt been on since Decmber of last year and Link is on here everyday. I guess what I am looking for his a confirmation from Link himself.

I would be willing to help test the ushop and ucash on my testboard, and I was considering pitching in on the fund but if this is the kind of responses were getting from Link and Zavhery, my time and test board is more then enough support as I refuse to pay with these kind of attitudes when the devlopers ignore us for months on end.
