Well, I originally had multi-quote on my test board, but it seemed a tad too confusing for my novice users, but this is pretty simple. I might just go ahead and install this bad boy.

Very interesting....
Taffy, I just wanted to share with you that my mother's actual birth name is Taffy. Sorry to be off topic!

Anyway, it works pretty nice. I would be interested in finding out how to add functionality to quick reply.

Is there a reason for that? Like maybe you like the other sex? Or you are a monk? All perfectly ok answers. Just curious.

LOL, this is getting way OT.
Surely there is a reason, but I don't really know.
I am almost 100% sure that I am heterosexual, and I am definitly not a monk :)

Thanks for this, I've got it installed and working on the gold release. It would be great if this worked with multi-quote, if multiquote has one problem it’s that it can be hard to locate in a long thread where a quote came from.

I had to do a reinstall of vbul 3.5 Gold board and I've reinstalled this but it seems now to be just linking back to the thread and not the specific post id, i.e. the link address will be something like: http://myforums/showthread.php?p=1205677#1205677 .

This hack may get error with Unicode characters.

For example, I try to Quote of Username contains character á then this character will return in safe string is: á, notice for the semi-colon (;), so this hack will misunderstand that every character after that will be the postid, and it will parse this quote title and get in error (both link and the username are incorrect).

Can you show me how to using orther character instead of semi-colon (;) or any fixed update ?

Thanks for your hack

I'd love to install this, if it would work (automatically :) ) with Multiquote.... would be nice if it worked alongside Collapsible Quotes (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=106878) too.

Looks as if this hack will be obsolete as soon as vB 3.6 goes out on public release: it contains the feature built in, as can been seen and tested on vbulletin.com, which has it running at present in pre-beta release.

Inclusion as core in a version of vB is the ultimate sign of a good hack: so useful that it's brought into the main system -- so kudos for providing us with it.

Just a note: This hack is not needed in 3.6 since its already built in.
