View Full Version : Forum Rules page
Description
Creates a page that shows your forum rules at "register.php?do=showrules"
Installation
- Create a "forum_rules" template in your root style (or in all styles you use) with the content provided in forum_rules.txt, or import it with Custom Template Manager (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=91038) using "ctm-forum-rules-page-0.1-templates.xml"
- Import the "Forum Rules page 0.1.xml" plug-in and activate it
Access it with the url
http://www.yourforums.com/register.php?do=showrules
You can change the looks of it by editing the "forum_rules" template.
To add a link in any template use
Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.
---------------
if you don't know where to put the link for it, check double navigation buttons bar (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=734210)
works with: beta 3, beta 4

Thank you for sharing this Dream.
Could you please also include a text version for that template, so it can be installed manually. We don't allow that you need to install another hack first in order to install this one.
you don't allow it on the plug-in forum or you don't allow it anywhere?
and can it be just a code in the first post?

We don't allow any hack/modification/plugin that needs another hack to be installed. The only exception to this is an addon to an existing hack.
I got an error trying to add the text template:
Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.
---------------
my bad, download the zip again
Nice, thank you.

Unfotunatly I installed the Custom Template Manager, and when I attempt to import ctm-forum-rules-page-0.1-templates.xml I recieve the following error message:
The XML file you are trying to import is outdated. Supported versions are 0.5 and up, yours is 0.4.

Nice hack...but I just use the FAQ option...then change the FAQ Phrase so it says 'FAQ/Rules'.
I use BB code for the font and I believe you can still link to the image files the same way. :)
