Alright, I installed this mod on my forum (running 3.5.2 vb) and ran into the problem where Admins cannot delete user pages. Found the post and fix for this, applied it, and it worked fine. But now, it seems something happened and now noone can CREATE new pages if they don't already have one. Not even Admins. I've tried changing the code back from the fix for Admins deleting them, but that did nothing but reverse itself to not allow Admins to delete them anymore. Any suggestions? It would be very much appreciated.:)

I am so excited this is being worked on.

THe only real feature (apart from cleaning up the code and such) I was hoping for was to have the users able to "Name" thier pages.

For instance I have a football site and id like user to be able to make pages for thier teams. And when you look at the list of homepages it shows the names of the page not the username who created it.

because already i have had to ask 2 members not to use "redirect scripts" on their user pages.

This way it defeats the purpose of having a user page ON the site.

Also if you know about the exploit of presenting a user with a "fake login screen" using JS, then you will understand how big a security risk this is for any forum system

ok two very good questions :)

what we are doing, we are going to make it so that hopfully and I really think we will be able to do it, is keep content and user pages with np at all :)

as for realease date god knows :]

but to be honest as soon as possible it will be cos even I want it, we will mostliky give a post here with a link to the new thread (as I cant take over this one) and we will release it when the bugs are sorted that there is now, also when some of the smaller mods are added, then we will work on the newist version then why its being ran for beta, then we will release that as beta and run it again then release the full real non beta.

this is the plan sofare any how :D

We are think of also opening a section in our forum http://www.mkpitstop.co.uk/forum so that we can run info from there and serport there as well as I am on there all day every day nearlly 24/7 365 days of the year :D

cjshirlaw there are some slight problems, but nothing that will make your forum crash or anything like that :) We are working on a new version and will be removing the problems.

MadKat, I'm a (intellectually) semi- retarded person who has no idea how to make this work.
What Id like to do is create a link (so that any user, once logged in) can creae their user page,.
Also, id like to create a link to it from the users profile (so that other members viewing another member viewing someones profile which would have a link to their userpage or a message that says "Userpage not createdd" underneath the Additional Information heading bar.
Also I want to do the same in the memberlist if its ok.

Some questions: how do I change the number of users listed initially? By default there are 20 listings, alphabetically. I'd like to increase this number to say 50 and have them listed by last update order.

I have installed the above mod to my vB forum and found that users can use HTML in the modification even when they cannot use HTML any other place on the forum.

Can I get the modification edited so there is an option to disable/enable HTML for different groups?

That indeed fixed the deletion problem, but for me it also (oddly) prevented users to create their page.

This happens for example when loading the delete userpage.

When I load the page, it seems as if the whole forumpage gets loaded into itself again (iteration).

My (attempt to) fix: delete $header from template userpage_delete_confirm

The report post does not work, have set the right forumID. When I try to report, a whole blank boardpage loads (not a blank page). As if a whole template is missing.

The file userpage.php mentions loading template userpage_report, but there is not such a template.
Who knows what should be in this userpage_report_template? I don't get it quite right myself.

There isn't much to see in the ACP, there's only the userpage settings in each usergroup (Usergroup manager), header Userpage Permissions. Have you uploaded bitfield_userpage.xml? The bitfields should be rebuild automatically when you enter usergroups, if not you may have to do it manually.

Same issue here.

Installs fine. Then you can't delete pages.

If you run the fix and change the code so you can delete pages users can't create new ones.

I'll just edit the code and delete the pages every few weeks.

It's a shame this hack doesn't work properly. It has real potential.
