Hurricane Katrina Banner
Please donate to help the victims of the Hurricane

This template edit adds a banner to your forum, that appears after the first post on each page.

First upload the redcross.jpg banner to your forum/images directory.

Then go to your Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Edit Templates -> Postbit (and/or Postbit Legacy) and click on the "<< >>" button to expand the template groups. Then paste the following at the end of your template(s):

Code:
---------------
Code is only visible to licensed users, and only when logged into the forums.
---------------

The address that the banner links to is the Red Cross of New Orleans, however you can substitute the link/banner with whatever aid organization you want to include.

Attached to the first post is the banner, so people don't have to download the zip file if they don't want to. Of course you can substitute any banner to any aid organization, or link to that organization, that you want.

Also attached to this post is another graphic that can be used in a sidebox (thanks to MotoUp).

The Red Cross (http://www.redcross.org/donate/donate.html), operation usa, (http://www.opusa.org/) Direct Relief (http://www.directrelief.org/sections/our_work/hurricane_katrina.html), America's Second Harvest (http://www.secondharvest.org/default2.asp) and many others are all working to help the victims.

Any way that you can help is needed/appreciated, and there is no time to wait.

You can donate directly to the New Orleans chapter of the America Red Cross by clicking HERE (https://redcrosssecure.org/arcno_org/?zone=donate&sid=&sid=)

There is no time to wait! Every day that passes without the needed help brings those people closer to danger/death! If you never donated to anything like this before, now is the time for social action! The federal/local governement is doing what they can, but it will not be enough - aid organizations such as Red Cross and the rest are already on the ground helping people directly, and they can do more with your help.

Note the align="center" . You may wish to change this to left (which is standard) for your forum. the "center" may change your forum listing and postbit to center as well. The "left" will fix this shoud it happen.

I have this installed on my small site but I couldn't connect to the Red Cross site so I redirected it to Amazon's donation page.
